Stab in the dark here. Does anyone know the power equivalent of the v-Mach preload washers? Does 1 washer equal 0.4 ft/lbs for example. I was asked at the club this evening and I didn't have an answer. I understand that each set up is different, but again, wondered what your thoughts were. Nice one.

Matt. Ive always wondered this... is that you in that profile image?!

Hmm. Your getting into air guns for the wrong reasons my man. I guess you like the sport and such, but surely the art of airguns is consistency and accuracy... not penetration tests. Shooting 'meat' will show you nothing apart from a hole, a very small hole in fact. A rabbits head doesn't work the same way. Nor does a pigeons feathers. Get your shots and technique nailed first... As an edit. You maybe right, I dont know what the others members think, but Ive never really thought of plinking at 'meat'.

Theeee random'ist thing Ive read on here.

f**k me I would chew your fingers off for this if it was a lefty.

Ha. I'm not sure you like the fact I'm not a 100 fan v'man. I do like them, it's just it got a bit boring slapping our cocks over um. I know there good, very good, but so is every other pcp around the 500+ mark I'll probably give the pod a miss. For now. Need to get the penniz together first for the rifle itself.
-
Any which might they be Skotteh? Im gonna get a 100. Thats it. Gonna do it. "If ya cant beat um..." And a Fenman. Or Evo. Cant decide yet.

The hobby may take over and you'll soon out grow your rifle and your shooting skills will too, depending on how serious you might get into it, thus being a gateway in to the hobby of spending far to much on rifles that you don't need... 'want' seems to take precedence.

Lies Anyway. We have to admit there are lots of 100's about, indeed with bipods attached. They seem to have become rather a craze, and not just on HW's. Never saw an air gun on a bipod years ago. It might stem from the fact they do aid accuracy, which is fact feeds our urge to take game at longer distances, it makes it easier to drop that bunny that might have been missed standing or kneeling. JUST A THOUGHT. No offence to the uber shots out there. As an edit. The same applies to me. I'd love to be more confident extending my ranges out to 45-50 yards

Mac. This could be the best news I've had all day after a mission at work mate. To be honest, at the end of the day it's your rifle, and you could of sold her, but there is an emotional connection made with our rifles, I know you'll know what I mean, and I know deep down, this one has indeed served well. Re this post. Fab job. Get the women (the raider) oiled and cleaned up and she'll still shoot better than that shitty scorpion mate. Ha. Well... Just as good at least. Keep us informed. Best wishes.

The issue indeed with PCP's. Ahhhhhhh. Shame.

After a quick, what the f*ck, and having watched a 'tube video or two as well as reading more about the rifle, basically, nice one. Seems a purchase indeed and defiantly a 'gateway' rifle. (Watch your bank account deteriorate) I had a real old B2 back in the day, the first rifle I ever owned, aged 7, 30 quid from air gunner or an advert inside it. Shot starlings with it on the old mans allotment. Looking back, it was really shit. But they seem to have come on bounds, like I mean, bounds! Keep us informed on your progress with it.

Nice one all. Yes, mac, I was worried about that... taking every shot off the pod. Moxy. Let me know, no rush as of yet. Safe.

Mac. Did you just use sand paper for this mate? I'm doing my 97 stock at the moment and yours has come up perfect for a 'new start' -
What's the deal with pods chaps? Might stick one on my SE and was wondering how much they get in the way re rifle slips, standing shots... Everything other than prone, where Im guessing they come into there own. Big bags can come from pods and a decent PCP, but it's surely a case of sitting and waiting when using them. I like the Harris 9-13 inch jobby. With regard fitting it just goes on a front mounted swivel... But any? Or just the screw? Thoughts would be muchly appreciated.

Do you lot live near each other? Just out of interest.

Plus me. -
Nice post, read and images. I dropped a rabbit myself a month or two ago now and noticed the same facial markings etc. again, the eyes were crystal clear and no fatigue in running around before shot.
-
For sale is my SE tactical stock. Used but in the best of conditions. I shoot with gloves, so the slightest wear forehand area, other than that, no marks, scratches etc. Ambi version. £40 will post for £10 extra so £50 all in. Will come with the fixing screw which is different to the wooden one. Pictures can be sent via email no problems. Or swap for used Harris or deben pod @ 9-13 inch. Many thanks.

I really do want a new pcp. Been thinking about loads of models to be honest. 100's, yes me and 100's, 410's, 510's, mk1 rapids, a brocock concept, unfortunately no left hand model, etc etc. I used have an old s300 serial 069. One of the first. Banging then. Got my scorpion on a project so I'll see how that goes for now. Shame it's .22.

I was like, what's the f*ck when I saw this... This rifle has earned it's keep twice over and should enjoy a happy retirement in a warm cabinet with you mac. Nuff said. Bloody rabbits will be happy about it too.
