Preping And Eating What U Kill
sean178 replied to ryaldinhio's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
I found a guy called Scott Rea on you tube that has made some very good butchery and cooking videos, could be worth a look. -
Good afternoon Derek, welcome to THL.

I use a Deben tilting bipod on my ultra, it's my first bipod so I have nothing to compare it too but it seems pretty well made, easy to use and pretty quick to fit / remove.

Some proper looking fun on Dave (111 on sky) right now !!!!

I use AA fields or jsb exacts in mine both offer the same result (.177) the jsb exacts in 4.53 probably just edge it.

Not watched it yet, it's beer festival weekend in Newark so there have been more important matters to deal with !!

Well, it's Monaco weekend. This one is the highlight of the season for me. So far this year has left me feeling more than a little disappointed, fingers crossed for a great race to get the season back on track.

Greetings and welcome. Enjoy your stay.

Thanks folks. I was preparing myself to ask for your mobile number so I could restore my honour and send you a picture message villaman ... lol I never used the old style ultra so I can't comment on them but I do love mine. I would never claim to be a great shot but the ultra helps take up some of the slack so to speak. Mine is completely standard so I get about 25-30 good shots with a charge to around 190 bar which is enough for me, for now. It's zeroed at 30 mtr and at that range I'm hitting pellet on pellet easily (on the bipod admittedly) Being a small tank it doesn't take long bef

There you go. Turn the phone off, back on, and then try again. I had to wait till I got home to take the picture due to the weather :-)

Trust me, I'm trying. I've got a picture on my phone but every time I try to upload I'd I just get a processing message but it doesn't actually complete !!

Went to have a walk round my first permission tonight. As I got out of the car it started to rain so I didn't stay very long, in fact I stayed just long enough to, with the help of a very accurate ultra in .177, bag my first bunny before the proper rain came. There will be plenty of more suitable nights and there are certainly plenty of rabbits to be had. As for now my first is jointed and ready for lunch.

My last lot came from a seller on flea bay for a tenner delivered.

I've got the hw100 on my ultra. It's very quiet indeed.

New Bsa Scorpion Se In .177
sean178 replied to border man's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
my ultra .177 seems to favour the JSB exacts or AA field diablo. With regards to accuracy, there isn't much to choose between the 2 and to my untrained eye they pretty much look the same pellet. -
Kick off is getting closer and the nerves are setting in. YNWA

Anyone who is going, all I can suggest is, set off allowing yourself plenty of time to get in. I've never been to one of the dog shows so I'm not sure just how busy it gets but, as a town, we don't cope well with traffic.

Many thanks for the welcome folks. There certainly is a mass of information to be found here. A big thank you to all that have contributed, I'm certainly enjoying my research. Sean.

+1 for the hw100 silencer from weihrauch. I've got one on my bsa ultra .177 and it is whisper quiet.

I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself before going off for a quick nosey. My name is Sean and I'm in Newark, Nottinghamshire. I've just bought myself a bsa ultra, deciding it was about time to join the world of pcp airgunning after years of owning my bsa lightning xl. I have to say, it's a cracking little gun and I can't believe how accurate it is. I'm looking forward to getting out and putting it through its paces. Anyway I'm off for a look around, I'm sure I'll find plenty of reading before bed (I've just finished my night shift but need an hour before I can even try to slee
