  3. Nice one thanks.Just had a quick look.. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/killer-whale-spotted-eating-seal-10367556 Would be nice if there's a web site out there that shows all reported sightings.
  4. Bloody hell, what a shame that is. Cheers for the info there Bell. I can't make it this year, already booked to go Scotland but just dipping my toe in this year at Dumfries and Galloway. Went to Skye last year, 500 plus miles from here, so looks like I'd better pull another big un in next year. I know they do come further south, not sure how much though. I do recall reading about one swimming up the Liffey (i think) in the 70's. Got him out in the end. Needle in a hay stack job but you can only try!!
  5. Had a Mazda 6 brand new, few years back. It was the wifes work car and i used it for lamping. Couldn't fault it. Got a mondeo now, bigger inside. Bullet proof, mega economy, totally hasstle free motoring.... just fill her up and go. Proper work horse. Took me and family all around Europe. I'd get another tomorrow.
  6. Just spotted this on bird forum. I only drop in there now and again but it seems there's been a fair few sighting recently and of hump backs too. I looked into it a while back and it sounds like its a pod that knocks about to and fro from Iceland. It's something I'd really like to see and not forgetting my Mrs and young girls. Young one's have got a big phobia of Basking sharks so I'd have to work on that first! so, one of nature's big ticks. Anyone on here every been lucky enough yo see them in the wild?. Any tips for getting sightings.. boat trips etc?. long shot i know...?
  7. When we we're young and daft, one of our gang was a right twat for it. Slightest spat with someone... he'd have all sorts turning up the next day, pizzas.. Chinese.. taxis, even ready mix once!! To name a few. LOL... Not loading bullets or anything!!
  8. I did actually see that at the time Mac. Suppose I didn't really appreciate how good a deal it was at the time. Shame, I'm only an hour at most from Lincoln.
  9. Great advise there Mac and that's a top offer, really appreciate that thanks?A 100 it could well be then. Been looking at the ks somebody mentioned earlier and I must admit I've taken a shine to it! 7 Ltr bottle does look about right too, I think! Feel I'm slowly getting there. Supposed I might be persuaded to go second hand. It would have to be absolutely mint though. I'll have a look at scopes later and I'll be checking out the one Simon's got. Appreciate all the advice folk's, feel free to keep it coming?
  10. Cheer's for that Tom. I know I didn't mention it but it would have to be 177. Shame because I'm only half hour away from where it's being sold. I'm away in Wiltshire at the moment, but you know what I mean!
  11. I understood all that tree creeper untill you finished with the 7 litre bottle. With the whip I'm lost mate unless you're talking about hounds. What is the. a.o mill do hobby?m 7L bottle= diving bottle for air and the whips the pug in your gun bit atb si[/quote Hobby should say jobby!! Good going lads...

  13. I thought I'd mentioned it earlier on Phil. Almost exclusively corvids and the odd bonus squirrel. All on the 'hoof' so to speak. No hides or anything. I don't do lot's of shooting by any means, I just fancy a new toy! LOL.. Looking back, I think I may have worded the initial question wrong. I kind of wanted to know, if you experienced fellas on here got shut of all your gear and had to set yourselves up from scratch, with a grand. No more. Gun. Scope. Bottle. I was hoping for some varied answers, obviously all tailored to your own individual needs and preferences. Like moxy said with
  14. Rapid mk2 eh, I'll have a look into them. Must have been decent kit the old Theobens. I have got an issue about having things from new though. I reckon it's just for peace of mind knowing nothing's been tampered with. I really do like the look of the R10 mk2. Shrouded barrel. Big shot count and all that. Anything else?? A scope for £200-250??
  15. Good man. Please if you don't mind. I've got an Evo that I've had from new, brought about 8 year back now. Been fancying a PCP for a little while and a mate has set me off with his hw 100. I don't do loads of shooting. Just a bit of corvid bashing. I mentioned a grand just to keep things realistic. Thought it would be interesting to see who recommends what for the same amount of money. So.. gun, scope and bottle/pump.. ??
  16. Just a quick one to offer an apology from a few day's back. Nothing aimed at you in person. I'd had a couple of Babycham's and talk as if i'm in the local with mates.. Anyway, I've served my time (3 days) lol, and publicly hang my head in shame!! There's a good bunch of lads in this section and that's how you want to keep it. Hope no harm's done..?
  17. i shouldn't be reading this.... I'll b in whiltshre..... tomorrow..
  18. If one of my mate's tried to gift me a pup... I'd still shove 150 notes in his hand as a thank you... You've bred them...and weaned then. Here's a drink mate....

    Help

You'll be fine in Chester mate, real nice place. We stayed in the George and Dragon few year back. Will you hit traffic heading south from your area though on a friday afternoon?I was thinking about suggesting York. Bit more milage though. Similar to Chester, but York just gets the nod in my opinion. Loads of nice pubs to go at. Rammed with B&B's, cant beat them. Good luck getting your balls emptied! ?
  20. Was the same here mate with the Vectra 150 est.Fooking HUGE in the back with the seats down... like a 747 fugilarge!! Carry back plenty of cargo from down Norfolk way!!!! Also a very, VERY quick motor... no 4x4 was going to get me in that fooker!
  21. Government needs to prioritise it's priorities...(Wtf)... haha... There should be a national bounty on these evil feckers!!!!
  22. Hi Rez. Markets/ investments/ interest rates are low at the moment, as they've been for a good few years now. Think long and hard mate about paying your 'hard earned' into something that you can't your hands on until you're in your 60's (could be law in 30 ys). Even then if you start taking your pension , you'll probably have to live to 109 year old to get back what you paid in!! Standing order mate, weekly or monthly. When is reaches a certain amount, buy premium bonds. In blocks. Build it up over the years. You're plenty young enough to do it mate. Also, you can get you hands on th
