    So true mate!!? Rhyl is decent enough.. if taking the mutts for a roll is your thing!?? I remember yonks ago, mid February, straying off path on some valley.. cracking farm land just outside Dolgellau.. had 3 dogs bursting for a gallop straining on the leads.. and this bloke bollocked me, from the valley bottom, in his Welsh lingo. Fcuk knows what he was saying to me... but i know it wasn't an invite for a cuppa and a slice of lemon drizzle... not to mention all the English directions spray painted out on the road signs!?

    What i do find strange is.. the absence of red deer in snowdonia. I consider north Wales to be very.. and i really mean "Very similar" ... country to that of the Lake district!! Loads of Reds in the Lakes though... strange...

    Rubber band mate. Thread the cable out the back of the helmet with the battery pack in the jacket pocket. Great for having a nosey over the headges on a night ride.. see what's knocking about. Decent little beam to be honest, but obviously not the right design for holding in your hand. I have one mounted on the bars too?

    I had a spell looking for a good pocketable tourch a good while back, and settled on this.. http://budgetlightforum.com/node/60614 Problem was.. i couldn't persuade myself to part with £80 queen quids for the f@@ker!!? Like dogmandont.. I've also got some cheap (£15 max including battery) on my mountain bike and also one mounted on the helmet. And to be honest, you cat fault them at all. Cracking value. Very decent beam, but not great to hold in the hand. The suggestion from Nicepix looks a great shout!!?

    and the 80's too sandymere don't forget?!! Wish i had photos of our bobbery pack from back in the day. We used to knock about on Chatsworth/ Welbeck estates.. and our full team consisted of 7 mutts. From top draw lurchers 27" collie/grey x deer/ grey... labs.. to mongeralised terriers. Anyway. I've nothing but admiration for pure greys. What an athlete.. and a picture to look at... pure eye candy to any dog man. I've seen a fair few carried off the coursing fields in deepest Norfolk though.. mostly on heavy ground/ deep sandy plough. A canine exercet missile

    Just thought to mention it here folks.. I'm no air shooter to bo fair. But at work the other week, i had some steel brought to me, cut in our Plasma shop on site .. and it was covered in burd shite... big style!.. ffs? Anyroad.. i spoke to the lad.. and he said these dirty bawbags had been in residing in there for a while.. dropping their bowel contents all over the material I've got to work on! So i dusted the old Evo off. Had it 13 years now from new. Untampered with. Just the one service at A&M. Had 3 today. 9 All together. All on the clock bye the way!! Al

    Got to love Morton coming on here on a Sunday afternoon.. post carvery/ sniff of the bar towel. Giving it the big un... yet again! I do know a lot of old folks (like mort)... that are or were really angry, hostile and argumentative in their dottage. Why is it?? is it because they know the end is nigh???? Not putting any corn down.... obviously!!

    Had an early blast out down some trails to Ashbourne in Derbyshire this morning. Cracking sunrise.. Probably a blessing this booze shop wasn't open!!? ?

    Byland Abbey is a nice spot just down from Ampleforth if you've got half hour spare, looks well lit up at night. Also Coxwold is a beautiful little village.. worth seeing even if just to pass through i think. I've stayed on the Golden square campsite a few times, just up road. Decet walk through the woods there, just noth of the site.. lot's of everything in those woods i think! I took a wrong turn a few year's ago heading to that site and ended up on some small lanes, way too tight to be towing a van down, east of Thirsk and it was absolutely teeming with rabbits crossing the road late

    Excellent shout mate!!? That is what this thred was aimed at.. not some local knuckle scraper that likes a dust up in the local boozer on a Friday night... I'm from a miming town in the east mids.. and those types are ten a penny.. Cheers for the replies fellas.. been interesting..?
