Had a quick look on google earth out of curiosity and got this screen shot. Apparently the cat was sat in the car park when the fella spotted it with his tourch as he walked along the train tracks..

Listened to that earlier, very interesting.. i know Edale quite well ( where the rail inspector had the sighting) i park there a couple of times a year and walk a big loop around the top of Kinder scout. Very bleak moorland up on top, highest point in Derbyshire. I've only got a couple of pics to hand but gives you an idea of the area. Never seem to get many folk right on the top, see edge of the plateau in pic, that's why i like it up there!!

Little bump for this thread.. I've ticked off probably 3 of these podcasts today whilst having a steady day welding a job going out to Singapore. Rick is a very knowledgeable bloke and has a nice voice that's very easy on the ear.. Well worth a listen lads....?

Good to see plenty of cider suppers on here... This is from a few weeks back. Stayed in the van at Stowford farm site in north Devon. Such a beautiful area. Needed some pictures to look at until the site wifi picked up post 10 o'clock.. then drop onto X hamster and get windmilling...

I love the UK mate, although i totally get what you're saying. Flown allover the place but it's always good to get home. I'm pretty much smack bang in the middle of the midlands... and it's great for getting about. Sush a contrast of countryside within a stones throw. Got fenlands and wolds east in an hour.. east and west coast in 2.5 hr... If you want mountains and God's country the Lakes is 3hr.. or like we did last week, drop down the M5, salmon cob and a pork pike and before you know it you're surfing in North Devon. 4.5 hr.. pop out other side of Glasgow... a different wor
