    Totally agree mate. I had to get a mate round and he pulled the tyre tight at one end whilst i stuffed the bead in working around the rim.. keeps popping back out though so you really do have too have it vert taught as you go around. There's probably a nack to it... i just don't know about it yet! Those were Vittoria's by the way ( mezcal ). Yes, it must be easier with a compressor.. I've read you can't do it with a track pump, but obviously you can as i did. Unless i just fluked it!!

    You can do it yourself mate but i didn't and took mine to Sherwood pines and let the mechanic do it!? They charged me £40. That was for the rim tape, valves, sealent and labour. Ran those tyres for 2 more years and they never failed. So it's well worth going tubeless. I could have done it myself Steve.. it was jus a faff i didn'tfancy at the time. I've since replaced those tyres myself and it was straight forward enough. A bit strange though trying to seat the tyre on the rim without an innertube particularly inflated to stretch the tyre out. I inflated them with just regular track

    You can get away using a higher power Chid going downhand as you'll know.. and that will make it quicker than going up, weaving in a Christmas tree fashion. Wonder if your colleuge pointed that out to your gaffer!! Should think downhand is fine mate on only 5mm..

    I had the laptop out earlier and ended up getting side tracked looking past holiday pic's, quite a few from Cornwall and Devon. Couple here from Treyarnon, just down from Padstow. Had a cracking day with my two daughters here.. even has it own swimming pool integrated into the rocks!! When the weather is right you can't beat it for me. A gift from mother nature. I know folk around me in the East mids that begrudge getting through a tank of fuel to get down there!! Well, that's their loss ain't it!!

    I think Beavers preventing flooding is the best excuse/ reason the folk behind theses reintroduction programmes can come up with to justify what they're doing. Can't actually see how a Beaver can make something that man can't mind!! Pretty sure there's some Scottish landowner's that where badly affected by the released Beavers up there and the damaged they've caused. I'm pretty easy going with most things in life, they can crack on with it for me..

    More releases in the pipeline. Captive initially.. but with a long term view that these small populatios will eventually link up throughout the country..     ? Got to keep laughing eh!!! My next trip to the Peaks is to have a look at Chorme hill.. or Dragons back as it's sometimes called. Bit of a ridge, nothing major by looks of it... but I've told myself to start and get these things ticked off.. time waits for no t**t as they say!! I don't really do the FB/ insta sights... perhaps i should, see what I'm missing out on! Yeah... walking and biking are beer and food tokens to me!!?

    Cracking pic's again.. great view up there too by looks of it. Yes, get yourself down to the Peaks. Obviously not as dramatic as the Lakes.. but still nice with some really wild barren places. That's a route below that i do now and again. Proper steep slog up to the top but a nice circular route after that with some ace views... as long as it's clear that is!! You can cut across that blobby bit top left.. but i wouldn't advise it if you get lost easy? it's featureless barren moorland.. literally nothing around to get a bearing from!! I could give you a guided tour around there

    Haha.. no, did a 9 miler around Hart crag and Fairfield unscathed but legs went from under me when we were nearly back at the car. Think it was a patch of moss at side of a streem just down from Patterdale!! Yes, it's some places the Lakes isn't it. 3 hr run from here in Notts.. makes it a long day out but well worth it. My sister lives in Penrith and is always begging me get my ass up there and get out walking with her. She's living the dream up there... she had the crampons on and ice picks out last week tackling some gulley on Helvellyn!? I'll keep you posted on the flask front!!

    Belting photos there!!! The flask pic reminds me... i must buy a new one. I went flying with the rucksack on recently in the Lakes... and i owe my life to the flask.... It saved me big time!!

    Same here Walshie... huge powerful animals controlled by a brain the size of a walnut!! Not a greaf combo!! I used to have to cross a farmers feild regular at one point and he kept to horses in there.. fine with people, but one of the big f**kers hated dogs though.... he had many a good course on my Italian Spinone that i had back then. Laughing my head off here reliving it... what a sight!!
