  1. Soak away could be a good idea mate. Sounds a big job that though if you mean taking your whole lawn up?
  2. Very true mate!! I layed some turf here years ago now and caught one of the bitch's who'd just finished her piss and proceed to scratch/ drag her feet back as they do afterwards.. she actually rolled the turf back up ffs!!!?
  3. My old man actually did that a good few year back! I can actually see me going down that route in the future to be honest... but not until i turn into a slack f**er like my father!
  4. I don't mind admitting i like a nice looking lawn.. so thought I'd start a thread going in order to gain and hopefully share a bit of advice around what to do to get that grass in tip top condition ready for the summer. So, let us know what you do and when.. feeding.. watering.. whatever it is. I've done about 4 cuts this season and a week ago i put a box of Wilkos weed and feed granular down to kill off a bit of moss that had appeared over the winter. It did it's job killing the moss off so i got the scarifier out yesterday to fetch the moss and thatch out of the lawn. Surpris
  5. F**ks sake.. is that one of the geezers out of Slipnot joining in now? Must admit... I'd give my left bollock for a soapy tit wank off her...
  6. Bigger steak than it looks.. found the rest once i got rummaging..
  7. Nice that mate.. proper man sized portion!!
  8. Sound job that. Yeah.. i tried a pair of the GPX pro.. but i was between sizes so i sent them back. Got the impression they were top notch trousers though. I do like their gear but it seems the popular colours soon sell out... got to be quick off the mark and all that! Got to be
  9. Revolution race trousers i see!! Do you rate them?? Got a pair myself.. the outdoor jean type. I think it's decent gear.. but a little pricey tbh. Nice with the free returns though!! Cracking picky by the way..
  10. Funny how nobody has said they would drop a few quid to the fellow hunting lifers!!!.....?
  11. Never really been one for the material stuff. I'm fairly content with where i am in life at the moment but at 44 I'd be well happy winning just enough to cover my wages each week to give me all that time back in my life to do the things i want to do... Instead of being at work. I know folk who don't work.. and they do f**k with the time they have.. other than sit in front of the majic box all day!! It's criminal. Such a waste to me. Any more than that and I'd be setting my two daughters up..
  12. Sound that thanks mate.. very good point that is!! I'll be picking some of that webber gear up soon..✌
  13. Ahh.. is that the same as an uphill gardener..??
  14. I feel for his Doris mate... he must be a c**t to live with!!
  15. Excellent reply mate thanks. See, that's we're i could improve things. I always, usually, buy briquettes.. i know how long they burn for at roughly what temperature. But they can alter the flavour of the food.. is that right? I find lump wood burns hoter.. but doesn't last as long as briquettes. All pros and cons i suppose mate!! I'll definitely check the webber stuff out!!.... ?
  16. You hit the nail on the head mate.. Sunday nights is when "old" Mort was at his best... dinner out and few John Smits down the neck.. he was ready to wind the clock back and toll his sleaves up!! Once the pubs are back open... he'll be back... With a sack load of backdated venom to sprey over us slack jawed knuckle scraping idiots.. who know nothing about dog's! Watch this space!!!
  17. This is my current simple set up... its dead basic.. and does a simple job well enough but obviously its very limited to what you actually do other than cook the usual bbq staples. Must admit.. I'm very tempted to step up!! Bog basic bbq.. but the wind sheild is important... Aldi/ wilkos charcoal less than £3 a bag.. Like i say, basic but goog, but also very limited!!
  18. Looks the business that mate. I've been toying with an upgrade to be honest.. the smoker option is very appealing to me. It's my philosophy in life though of keeping shit simple.. and I'm still climging onto my small basic charcoal bbq, very minimalist but okay for the basics. They only last a few years though. Get us inspired on the food thread..... after a few beers i might take the plunge!!
  19. Oh fak!! Ah well... he comes accross as a miserable old b@stard most of the time!! I'll shift my diagnosis to little man syndrome then. Hang on... don't tell me he's 6' 4"...?
  20. I miss his posts on here bizzarly.. a character. He did seem to carry a massive chip on his shoulder and had an axe to grind with every f**ker it seemed. I've known a few old uns end up like that though.. probably not nice knowing the grim reaper is waiting just around the corner for thee..
  21. It's hard to think she's gone... bless her...
  22. Well.. I can see the pub from here!!?
  23. Looks a nice mix that chief... Belvoir.. I'm just up the road, well, about 20 mile up the road!
