You've done cracking job there mate... looks grand that...? I went a early with the overseeding this year and struggled with germination as the temperature plumeted for most nights during a long period of days even though it was decent temps during daytime. It did come fairly good in the end though. Going to try and be patient next spring and hold off a while longer, probably late April at earliest!! -
Couldn't agree more mate! If you're cooking... you're cooking i say. Keep whacking it in on until the heat dies is my thinking. We've got enough leftoves to get another stonking meal out of today too. Loads of meat plus hassle back spuds, savoury rice and salad. Kids and mrs have already feasted. I'll dine about 2am after I've supped these 2 bottles of vino...?

Cheers Bosun... I'm glad you appreciate the effort mate!!? Revisited your garden pics earlier pal.. i know i said before, but it's well tidy that is. I can see a lot of effort and time has gone into that space... you should be well proud of it..?It looks grand. I'm planning next springs renno already. I fancy over seeding with mm50 grass seed, it's what they use at Winbledon. 100% Dwarf rye. You can cut it short and it takes loads of hammer. Problem is.. its £130 a sack and i'd only need about a third of that!! -

Did a mini renno 10 days ago with the aim of having decent looking bit of turn for a bank holl weekend bbq. Had been away for 2 weeks and when i got back the grass was looking pretty shit to ssy the least. Did a quick scarify. Sprayed with the lawn tonic. ( greens up within 2 days!) And put a granular fertiliser on. Watered it in over a few days. Quite pleased with the 10 day turnaround.. although i sometimes i wounder why i bother when my mrs and daughters don't pay any attention to it. I could probably dig it up and they wouldn't notice!!? Before.. -
Just a randon pic of some chicken from yesterday's bbq. Only a bog basic set-up... always liked it that way mind, but after seeing what Kanny and Flattop are turning out i think it won't be too long before i upgrade things!! Cooked way too much meat again as per usual!!

Haha.. ahh, no worries mate. I'm sound with it.. gave me a good laugh, that's what's all about after all!! Yes, sent my mrs that pic for a laugh whilst i was sat down the bottom of the garden and she replied saying "it looks like you're playing a trumpet"? Maybe i should have waited until the bottle was empty!! lol..

Thanks for getting back chief. Yes, a very wise move you made there regarding dodging the Bealach.. and a pat on the back to the bikers for tipping you off. You saved yourself a ton of stress.. and to be totally honest the you didn't miss out on any views either.. like you said. You would have headed north from Applecross and pulled into the big layby on the left just before the road bends right towards Shielgaig. That's got to be one of the best view points in the UK I'd say. Looking out to the island of Rassay.. then Skye behind there, mountains and all... then the Outher Hebs (Lewis and Har -

Scotland west coast trip.. tell me where to go!!
Bush Rummager replied to Bush Rummager's topic in General Talk
Sounds a right adventure that does! I know a hell of alot of folk around me in the East mids that have never visited Scotland.. purly because they begrudge burning a tank of fuel to get up there. I can never understand than. Their choice and loss i suppose!! You must have travelled along the Applecross pass then mate. That's the stretch of single track road that leaves Applecross and heads East towards Lochcarron. The Applecross pass includes the infamous Bealach na Ba.. a very tasty bit of road.. especially if you're driving a motor home!!! We drove it going out Westwards. It -

Just thought I'd throw this up on here.. interesting to see i reckon. I clocked our milage in the car over the two weeks. Pulling off the drive, to pulling back on. We had a busy first week out and about everywhere but then more relaxed second week. Toatal miles came to 1604. I wondered how far this would get me in a straight line. A quick Google.. and i got the answer below. Fuk.. i could have gone to the Ukraine.. and taken some these locals back with me!!? -
Of course mate.. i bladdered some red sauce/ tomato sauce/ ketchup (depending where in the country your from)? into it after the pic!!
