    Always get a gallop or two on this little spot.. cracking afternoon here late on.. Had a striped visitor here too recently... I've been on this land a fair bit around the clock over the years and never had sight or signs of them before here so will be interesting to find where it's come from.. Too far away to tell.. but looked like maybe a couple of red arrows doing a few practice loops in the distance..

    I checked em out mate.. I remember when you said you where going. Cracking venue isn't. They've got a few other pokey rooms downstairs. Seen Napalm Death and an AC/DC cover band down there.. the smaller the set up.. the better for me mate!! ?

    That's a proper shame matey that is!! I'm at City to see Cannibal Corpse end of April.. don't waste your looking them up.. you'll think they're shite!!? I love a bit of death metal. Seen them twice before both at City. I always get on the barrier right at the front. I looked their front man up and down.. George Fisher.. he had some shitty fake leather plastic safely boots on and some 10 quid army surplus black combat bottoms on and they were covered in sp#nk and snot!! I Googled him and noticed his net worth is about £5 mill. I like that type of bloke!! ?

    Sounds spot that. I never really got 'right' into Maiden.. that Seventh Son album was quality though. Old Bruce had a belting voice back in the day... Harris is a top bassist too. Hope you all enjoy the gig..?

    Lovely mix of birds that mate. I had totally forgotten about this until just now.. but I drempt last night we had a White tailed sea Eagle fly over the garden and I ran inside to fetch my Mrs out and she wasn't impressed at all!!? Madness eh! Makes you wonder what's actually been on the garden that you don't actually see. I went out one morning to find a covey of about 6 Partridge right up to side of the kennel with the lurcher and GSP asleep inside!     Just the other day I spotted the first female on the garden here in the East Mids mate since probably late August/ early September. Just the odd few males that have stuck through the winter here. Looking forward to watching the blackbirds Robins and Dunnoks hatching and rearing some chick's on the garden. Even my Mrs has taken to it over the last few years!!

    Just whilst I remember.. there's a couple a massive gaping sink holes in the res down the road worth a look.. they remind me of my Mrs for some reason...? Plenty of parking at the roadside there if your Mrs is like mine and don't like walking!!?

    Yes.. been a good few times over the years mate. Only an hour from me. I've walked bits of it.. but don't think I've done a full loop.. something I'll have to do at some point! You can get quite a way up in the car on a little lane that runs up the left side of the Res but it's quite tight in places and I wouldn't recommend attempting it at busy times. Where the road comes to a dead end is an Oak tree planted by King George and a young Liz to mark the opening of the Res in 1945.. Here's where the road ends.. and where the 'Kings' tree is..
