    Looks a nice rangy dog mate! We used to run a dh/gh x collie/gh 20 odd year back. We probably didn't realise at the time.. such a nice easy going bitch. A pleasure to be out with. 27.5 inch.. took a while to get up to a hare mind. Died hitting a wooden fence post striking a bunny!!

    My own theory as to why dogs drink alot more when on dry isn't because it swells up in their bellies.. i reckon it's because eating that dried crap fuks with their stomach acid and all a dog can do to ease it is to have a drink!

    I've knocked a few decent meals up this week as our Doris has been working.. but I don't take pics because I get ridiculed by these 3 females I live with.. just ain't worth it!! I had a cob (east mids) .. with turkey and salad today from the butchers whilst at work. F@@ked up with the Mayo!!?? I left it on.. was decent to be fair!!?

    We did mate. Will be planning a few more of those and upping the mileage and elevation for the old boy! He was blowing a fair bit after the steps at the side of the Dam.. we'd only been out of the car for 10 minutes so definitely room for improvement on the fitness front. He's walks every day 4/5 miles but it's pretty much all flat!

    Here you go mate. I didn't take many to be honest. Did a few detours.. blew the cobwebs off up on the hill and had a good laugh with my sister and father. She was asking me if we'd see any 'snow bunnies' up there!! and a Raven flew over honking later on she's says "ooow.. a pig crow" ffs.. She sometimes goes into teacher mode though like she's guiding a load of teenagers out on Duke of Edinburgh trip!! Lol.. Quality morning though and pub dinner. Happy day's eh!! A good few camping spots up there too.. further up and well out of the way.. ?

    Looks proper grand that mate! Nice when it's clear too so you can take the views in.. looks like you dropped on there. Which route did you take up?? You can see the 'Whatkin' path in the bottom pic you put up there.. I went up on that last year with my mate 'Tackleberry'. That will be the steeper way that you mentioned.. over on the west side.. a decent enough slog up. I'll have a look for some pics later.. ?

    My walk tomorrow morning with my sister and dad. My sis who is pushing 50 is bit of an animal.. very fit and doesn't give a f**k about what the weather is doing. Not too far tomorrow though as my old man is built for comfort.. not speed!! Lol..

    Nope! Strayed off course a bit in thick fog by myself on Helvellyn after coming off striding edge and ended up on the very steep part inside of the horse shoe. Let go with one hand to check route and soon sorted with a quick back track. That's about it!?

    Was going to say the lone wolf but been taking a work mate with me for the last few outings. We'll be doing a bit of camping together too hopefully this year! He's a good lad.. but he does love a pic though!! Lol
