    Ended up in the private box at Happy Valley race course in Hong Kong of this guy! Sir Harry Fang. Nobody will know him.. but he was a well respected old man then.     No mate.. didn't make it out. Complications on my mate's side.. so it didn't happen unfortunately. Shame really as it turned out a really nice evening here. We've had our heads together all winter talking and planning things so it didn't feel right for me to go by myself for the first time. I had my sister trying to get me up to the Lakes for a camp last week but I turned it down for same reason. My mate has his kids ever other weekend so it does limit when we can go but once we've got the first one in together I'm a free man after that..?

    I hope they go well for him mate. Too many fukwits over here crossing shit together destroying all those year's of breeding a type. Those blueticks look like what you'd get from putting a GSP and a Bloodhound together. Some nice gowls to hoover that scent up!!

    Good stuff that pal.. glad you're pleased with the new tent! I'll be camping up on Kinder Scout mate in Derbyshire. Know it fairly well but not sure exactly where we'll be pitching. I've got a good 5/6 spots in mind and will just check them out as we go around until we find a spot that we're happy with. Good advice on the layers and temperatures thanks.. I'll take my big dressing gown with me!! Lol..?

    Nothing really.. but me and soft lad did a "dry run" and put the tents up a few days back. He lives in a flat so came to me. Pretty straight forward as expected to be fair. His inner came separate so now that is fastened in he can leave the inner and outer together so saves faffing when we actually get out. My Helm 2. Very pleased with it.. glad I went with the 2 for a bit of extra room. Tackleberry's Vano mirage I think it is. Also a 2 manner. Penciled in next Friday for the maiden voyage!!

    My old man has a ticket at Elland. Had a bit of banter as you do after the game. He actually said hasn't enjoyed any of the football he's seen in the last two seasons. Shame really!

    Yes.. it was decent matey.. but nowt compared to our local chippy. The fish from there are f**king mahoosive!! I always send my mrs in now though as i reckon the bloke that works in there has got a thing for her.. gives her the biggest fish and extra chips with a nod and a wink!!? I measured the last one I had from there.. it was 19.5 inch!! That's higher than a whippet/beddy! Lol..

    Had a family ride to a few shops yesterday 20 minutes away, Crystal Peaks.. KD will know. We ended up at Cleethorpes 1hr 50 minutes later!! Totally unplanned.. weather was grand so thought why not! Didn't realise the Stags where playing Grimsby until we drove through there. Been to that fixture year's ago.. I wanted to go for first half but our Doris wasn't given to autorise it! Only Cleethorpes.. but was nice to get to the coast! Had the obligatory chippy as you do!! Turned out a cracking day.. bit longer than planned though!!

    Cheers fellas!! Reassuring knowing you both use the same stuff!! Lol.. Using a watering can would get it down nice and quick I guess. I did do mine some years ago with a water based one.. Everseal or something like that, yellow drum off Amazon.. I used a pump sprayer. Think it worked OK but was fairly slow going and obviously a ballache keeping it off the lawn. Thanks for getting back.. I'll let you know if i f**k it up!! ?

    Apologies.. just butting in with a quick question for the likes of DC and Stav or anyone else in the know. Can you recommend a paving seal please?? It's for my plaspave block paving. It's due for re-sanding in a few parts then I want to reseal the whole lot. About 110 sq mtrs I think. I see there's a few different types of sealant out there. Water based and solvent based. Any ideas what to go for fellas??

    Looks just the job that mate! I'd love a similar setup to that for me and the Mr's for when we're retired or semi retired or even sooner when the daughters are a bit more independent. She's having none of it at the moment though.. wants nothing less than fully serviced campsites unfortunately. She's very negative initially to anything I suggest so I'll just keep chipping away at her.. usually get there in the end!! Lol..
