    Just had aweek away in the lakes, managed to tag on with Blencathera, tues 19th, the most frendly folk you could ever wish to meet, being a stranger to the usual crowd had to pass a couple of 'iniciation' questions if you like.......... cant blame them for that though, even got a lift back to the cottage! The 'drag man' was sighted several times during the day, but hounds failed to catch up with him, very warm day, struggling with the scent......... few photos..... the packs namesake..     No darling...i meant one catagory per (say) 6-8 weeks to be the topic for photos to be based on.... i.e one comp might be wild flowers... the next time the comp might be dogs....and so on......we cant hav it too broad as then things get muddled....a narrow(ish) catagory, per competition should yield good entries...what does everyone else think??? Sounds logical........lets get it rolling..... Photo shop?????? i've got it, but aint got a clue how to use it , can/ do some folk "tweek" the shots they put up? will this be allowed? or will it all be down to original shot.

    Just a bit of a follow up, and to show that good advise is appreciated and not falling on deaf ears................. Greyhound mega store, £10 inc p+p, 250ml......... fits through letter box!.........nice.     Kreet, no mate, still not sure exatly what the injury is........ the vet diddnt have a clue either! Cheers for that Skycat, if the vet had given me that sort of advice i'd be back out with her in 2 weeks, looks like it could be a bit longer now though. Fustrating or what........... Could end up taking her to see someone that knows what they're talking about..... live and learn eh....

    My lurcher must have tacken a knock on her back left foot whilst out with her just over three weeks ago. Limping, not putting any weight on it and a bit of swelling, just above the outside toe. Didnt look any better after a day or two, so paid the vet a visit, not wanting to over-react or anything but when you've only got the one lurcher you want it sorted a.s.a.p. The vet had a feel around the toes/foot and to my relief said no need to exray........ nothing broken, lead only for five days and some anti-inflamataries. Wasnt to sure myself, so gave another two weeks of rest ( until swell

How do you find the scope power wise for the gun? any paticular make stand out? or is it a case of you get what you pay for?? Thanks...............

    Having a very serious look a getting one of these Desbo79, what scope you on there mate and are you happy with it? 177 or .22? seems to be loads of gun shops offering various 'combo' packages, getting a pain in the arse sorting this one out......... any offers ???

    Cheers folks. some good advise there...... Paid the local gunshop a visit today, not a huge selection in, handled the prosport.. and was surprised by its weight, its a fair old lump! Also had two lightnings in.... the Tactical and a 'standard'. Aparrantly the standard ( was told it wasnt an xl ) has recently been revamped with some chequring on the stock and an up graded scope! The chap told me B.S.A went through some financial difficulties six months back and this was their attempt at getting things back on track. Must admit the Ligthning did feel nice.........
