  2. Nice piccys Keeps... but like a few others have said, spiderpig, has it really got to be an SLR?? expensive camera bodies... then with the added expence of ' which' lense to stick on it?? All the talk of macro lenses/ settings... you can end up with a depth of field like a razor... way to shallow for a horses gob.., there's some fine compacts knocking about mate.. here's one i took with my old compact canon G7... not even in macro mode.. Have a good think about it mate before you part with your wonga...

Other than that , i'd go with what Byron said, the 70-300 is, very good for the money, 300mm focal length should be enough for what you want and fast enough to freeze the action. Here you go.... http://www.pinewoods.co.uk/ , North Norfolk so distance shouldn't be problem, the web site dosent do the place justice, a cracking little campsite, loads of places to get out with the dogs, very short walk to the beach, nice little stroll into Wells for the pubs, shops and fresh sea food! I really rate the place, ...and i'm booked on there ( though not in a tent) next boxing day, till after the new year.. Hope thats some help..

Cheers for that Micky , Haaa, the boar post! , glad you remember it, no sign of them unfortunatly, but with a bit of luck minght manage a picture or two of some of the other critters around there... , there's always a few of the doves knocking about on our backs, despite the attention of the allotment owners just over the fence, even my 3yr old daughter moans about them when they're sat on the chimney doing their call, goes straight down the chimney and is beamed out through a vent in her bedroom, early in the morning! she calls them ' huoo huoo' birds

Got a new lense a few days back, not had time to do too much with it just yet, here's one from today, just off the back garden, its still all new to me, going to get photoshop rigged up sharpish, this is just a J-peg, cropped a little... camera is a cannon 450d with a 70- 200 lense ( 2.8 is ), still got a long way to go yet, but you got tot start somewhere i suppose..
