Hi jimmy if there is anythi g i do or say that is useful or helpful steal away , thats what its all about helping each other , and naturally if someone wants to pay me to sort theres the thats a winner too seriously though always happy to help and yes i have alot of the time stripped back and started from scratch as i aint been happy haha just striving for perfection Atb Nath

  12. Further more two pack finishes damage just as much as the finish i used , i know this as i have seen and done this , two pack can be a lot harder to rectify
  13. As stated mate the criteria was asthetics , secondly if or when he wanted it returning back to a wood coloured stock the current finish will be easier to remove as apposed to two pack would therefor keeping the cost down for him in the future Atb Nath

  17. The stock before any work , i must say aswell the qaulity was shocking loads of scratches from sanding simply left and laquered over
  18. Of course it will not hold up or be as durable as a synthetic stock , that goes without saying but still very durable .and the brief was simply asthetics Atb Nath And thanks for the replies they are much appreciated
  19. Its a pre catalised enamel laquer mate , the brief from the customer was to try to achieve the look of the bsa tactical stocks , this is what i came out with , also the beech has been stained with black nitrocellulose stain as a basecolour
