  3. moved house recently. checked my two rapids DISASTER covered in rust is there some type of gun sock i can put them in; to stop moisture attacking them. they had been stored in gun slips with a spraying of WD 40 before storing but this has not worked any info THANKS

    funny you should say that even though theyv.e been about for a few years now its the only time i have got round to seeing them since i was a kid many years ago. trouble is they have appeared at a little spot that i sneek about on and all the dog hating twitchers have now turned up

  11. get them on the marshes were i live. they reckon global warming pushing them north found a.roost site [ containg at least six]couple weeks back very wary at dusk. bet the dog hating twitchers/digiscopers would like to know were this little jewell of a place is?

    yes mate...a nice C6 ....could of been a bit better marked though mate. I kept a little eye on this nest and it was nice to see out of the 6 it got 5 branchers. last egg stayed in the nest. Ill be honest...i have a bit of a love hate relationship with Sparrowhawks.I have nothing but admiration when watching one hunt in the wild.Then again the ones that come in the garden after my British ... can do my head in sometimes. Lamps <{POST_SNAPBACK}> sprawks heard somewere that they have peaked and are on the decline not round this way though play havock with me sparrows g

    still laws on photography ie schedule1 etc. old mate of mine;s lad use to come out with me year;s ago and has now turned to phot;s thank fxck i suppose as we get older it still holds that fasination.on another point how;s the sparrow population in your area?the older lads on here will remember how common they use to be but in these days of new builds plastic facia;s etc there is little chance of them getting in anywhere to breed/roost so why not give them a hand it dont take much get some feeders out. build a sparrow terrace nest box etc. as they say on the telly [every little helps]

    [very addictive indeed ] i was in the early eighties out of work egging in the spring/summer digging /beating winter; GREAT DAYS] till i got spragged up. got raided by the rspb police. the big cheese [peter robinson rspb]in them days the police had no wildlife officers i kept a cracking working springer who soon learnt to find ground nesters ;waders gulls etc]would also go to ground on shelduck ended up on telly/ local paper biggish fine still look but dont take anymore got a little bedlington bitch that occasionally finds stuff?[ still the jewells of the wild for me ]quess its still there

  19. guess who just won get me out of here i wonder why. i no you working lads from the mining community maybe still hold gripes etc communities etc but it still goes to show that the british public will still vote for a strong forwarding leader some one who just gets on with it .what i am getting at is this the months leading up to the ban all the interviews were done with whiskey drinking nosed toffs when did you see working class lads explaining there beliefs hardly ever.
