I like Russia coz I like living and working there. Even though it's a totalitarian dictatorship I can still do the same things I do in Britain. I don't believe a word that come out of the Russian foreign office, though I do tend to be sceptical of what any government says. Russian prisons are not nice places. You don't want to end up there. Luckily when I went to court in Russia I only got a fine.

Things begin to return to normal in newly liberated Douma, the site of the alleged chemical attack:

Here's an article I've read on the White Helmets. They're the group that finds all these chemical attacks and hospital bombings. It turns out they were actually started by a former British Army officer: https://www.mintpressnews.com/james-le-mesurier-british-ex-military-mercenary-founded-white-helmets/230320/

Edit: My mistake, the Barzeh Research Centre that was hit was within small arms range of HTS (jihadist group) two weeks ago.

John Bolton, the recently appointed National Security Advisor, is trying to persuade Trump to go for a large series of air strikes to cripple Syria's infrastructure: https://www.wsj.com/articles/trump-seeks-large-strike-in-syria-mattis-urges-caution-1523651589?redirect=amp#click=https://t.co/fqM785tKDC

Remember the media often, but not always has it's own agenda it likes to set. Closer to home just look at the coverage of subjects such as Brexit, Trump, the EU, and illegal immigration.

It might have been Assad that ordered the chemical attack, but don't you find it very suspicious that he would have done it, then, just before a small pocket of jihadists surrendered that were going to be defeated anyway? This is a turning point in the war. With the east of Damascus cleared of jihadists, it'll free up tens of thousands of Syrian Army troops, and will more or less guarantee victory over the remaining jihadists areas. That is unless otherwise parties get involved in the war. The group that reported the chemical attack is known as the White Helmets, they seem to be the first

Here's hoping the US and Russia agree that the US will target some empty buildings with cruise missiles, and Russia will shoot some of them down, allowing both sides to claim some victory. A bit similar to last time. Then they can get back to fighting ISIS and jihadists.

If really you're wondering what Russia is like I'd suggest that you pay the country a visit. You may find it is very different to what you see on TV, or read in books.

This change in direction isn't surprising now that a couple of Bush era neocon hawks have entered the administration. Those are John Bolton and Mike Pompeo. With them advising Trump you'll see a much harder line on Iran, with possible strikes on the country and a tearing up on the nuclear deal. Cruise missiles also makes a good distraction from any sex scandals.

Here's the chemical bomb that the Syrians are alleged to have dropped. It looks suspiciously intact despite having crashed through a building:

Regardless of whether you support Assad, ISIS, or the jihadists, Tony Blair thinks we should go to war and send the troops in. He's a man who speaks from experience: https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/tony-blair-says-uk-should-launch-military-action-in-syria-because-non-intervention-has-consequences/ar-AAvHJtm?ocid=spartandhp

I think Assad has used chemical weapons in the past, but nor for a long time. It makes me suspicious that the group that reported the incident has ties to Al Qaeda and has faked hospital bombings in the past. This meme partly sums up what I think of these incidents:
