cucumber today is totaly rank....it is bitter..and just rank............im well past pension age and i remember in my youff cucuber was my favourite sarnie.......it tasted totally different to the crap today...... someone explained to me why....in the times past...you plucked the male flowers off the vine and left the female ones to mature.....time moves on and hybrid breeding has totally screwed up the cucumber.........
