  1. I've bought a Walther Rotex R8 ... had it a couple of weeks or so. Couldn't be more pleased with my new purchase. Have read some reports of doubt regards this brands new pcp, that's recently hit the market. Even read a magazine review stating the trigger guard is plastic! .. its not, its metal .. the trigger blade is a heavy duty plastic that operates very smoothly. Very accurate, with a very impressive shot count. Solid German construction in the main .. Lothar Walther barrel and mechanism, stock, ltalian, pressure gauge BSA. All in all a pcp that in my opinion is equal to
  2. Ive got a really good condition Baikal 12 bore single, and can vouch, they are well worth having .. very tight full choke! .. ultra reliable ..
  3. Ive had one for a while .. when l got it, there were instructions regards to suggested call patterns and what they meant. At the time l wondered, "with Primos being manufactured in America" .. were the suggested call patterns relevant for the UK Carripn Crow? Im quite sure l once read that "Crow dialect" can vary even from.UK region to region ...lm wondering what are the best crow call patterns to bring them in ... is there anyone aware of recording of good call.patterns .. lm guessing, feeding/mate calls etc, one that inspires curiosity amongst the clever crow! As an after thought
  4. My dog is a fine retreiver .. though being a Newfoundland, isnt ideal for shooting lol
  5. Was out today on the farm. Quite a few Crows/ Magpies about. Had a good few shots. I'd decided against my better judgement to take my 12 OU as opposed to my usual 12 bore single. And as usual struggled. I have far more success with the singles than the OU ... anyhow there's always the next time.
  6. Rainford are doing or was doing Victory cartridges ... but recently had Proper cartridges on a discount offer ... they are okay, but l found them a bit punchy if you are going throught them in a day ...
  7. Been looking in on here a while. I am a member of another well knowning shooting forum, but find this forum interesting, hence joining .. l use shotguns only ... shot as a younger man, long, long break, then got the urge, and started again a while back now ... l live on the Wirral and shoot on the Wirral on a few farms. I prefer walk up rough shooting, but have dragged myself into decoying. I enjoy it on the ocassions l do it .. l've a 12 bore OU multi-choke 3 X 12 bore singles ( l like shooting singles) .410 Webley bolt acrion Soon to get .. SBS 20 bore Thats it really ..
