    I haven't owned a more expensive pcp. Im not sure if l'd of been better off just getting something like an Air Arms Ultimate Sporter or HW 100 kt (.177) .. l can't compare against them. The shot count is up there with either of the two aforementioned pcp's. Possibly lighter in weight than either also. I know the HW & the AA are very accurate, how it would compare to either of them lm unsure. Reliability wise, lm unsure.     Using AA 7.89gr pellets l'm getting 801 - 805 fs. Hunting wise l use AA field 8.4gr. Excellent grouping. Using field 8.4gr pellets it puts out 11.54lb. JSB Heavies 10.34gr its putting out 11.8lb. Shots wises l'm easily getting 70 plus. Not pushed it to actually see what the shot count is, will get round to it one day. I'm guessing circa 90. Trigger feels much smoother to use. l filled to 250 bar (just to see how it performed) .. the other day and the second pellet went on top of the first pellet. Its very consistant. Slightly off topic but! ... are there any Harris hawks that has successfully bred in the wild in the UK? .. some that may have escaped or been lost and have bred and have succeeded in rearing young that are now at large and have never had any form of human contact? .. apologies if its a daft question, just curious to know .. atb

    I've a tin of Umarex .177 pellets. At a guess about 350'ish in number .. l'd exchange for approx 75 Bisley super field .177 - 8.64gr or Magnums .. atb

    I had one a few years ago ... nice shotgun ... nearly everyone l let shoot it seemed to preform well with it ... if its a reliable shotgun .. its at a bargain price .. good luck with the sale .. atb

    Try the pump on another pcp ... might be worth having you"re R8 pressurised at a gunshop initially. When it drops to say 120 bar; pump the R8 up to 200bar .. that will give you 90'ish shots ... atb

    Never tried AA field pellets; have got the Hunters "16g" .. will have to get some and give them a try .. Recently out on the ferals, not had a great deal of luck on the rats. To be honest, thats my own fault. They're around the farms, just lve not put the time in .. will have to put the effort in .. prefer shooting rats to almost any other type of shooting ...
