  1. Got hold of an MTC Viper 3-12×44 (SCB) .. seems a half decent scope. Bought in anticipation of doing a bit of HFT .. shooting the Loughborough venue of the DMHF 2/6 ... I've a Simmons scope hanging around the place. Glass is better at distance than the Hawke Panorama I've got. I just never got on with the plain cross hair reticle ... I only keep hold of it cause its not worth much.
  2. I'm after a scope. Presently I've a Hawke Panorama and an MTC Viper Connect on two of my rifles. I need a third scope for my TX200. Looking for a light scope with side parallax. Something along the lines of 3-12×40. I'd consider another Panorama but I'm not keen on front AO adjustment. I've seen the Hawke Vantage 4-12×40 SF. It cost considerably more for this model than the "non side focus Vantage" .. I'm thinking if I pay out the extra dosh I'm only going to get the optical ability of the cheaper Vantage scope. (11 layer multi coating) the Panorama has 16 layer. I'm not well up enou

  8. Used Daystate 14.6gr pellet for a chrono check .. TX doesn't like them at all. Had trouble putting pellets into the breach (5.53mm to big me thinks) ..they were all l had available. Highest 572.3 ft/ps = 10.62 lbft Lowest 539.6 ft/ps. = 9.44 lbft
  9. Arghh .. sussed it mate .. atb
  10. I'm thinking of joining a HFT club, hence the reason l purchased the TX. Hunting wise l've a couple of pcp's plus a few shotguns (enjoy air rifles over shotguns) .. Understand Mac what you mean when you say "good gun but not for me" .. my mate loves a certain rifle manufacturers offerings, but try as l might, they're not my cuppa tea. Going to chrono it today .. only got a few Daystate pellets to use and they were given to me to just try out the TX. I can hardly get them into the barrel, tightest fit l've ever come across. Will order a couple of tins today, though not the Da
  11. Took the plunge and bought an AA Tx200 (.22) .. quite a learning curve. It was between the Tx, HW97 or Walther LGU. .. reason l decided on the AA was simply availability/price .. l'm guessing there isn't much between any off them. Anyhow, just got to buy some pellets for it, only shot 10 pellets l had through it as yet. Was told to get AA field 5.52mm pellets as a start point .. cheers
  12. I'd sooner relocate to Llandewi Breffi and be the second gay in the village.
  13. As a country sportsman, l found the Badger baiting is a disgrace. I understand it was of its time .. thankfully its not now.

  19. After having been told my danglies looked like an elderly rastafarian I decided to take the plunge and buy some of this as previous shaving attempts had only been mildly successful and I nearly put my back out trying to reach the more difficult bits. Being a bit of a romantic I thought I would do the deed on the missus's birthday as a bit of a treat.I ordered it well in advance and working in the North sea I considered myself a bit above some of the characters writing the previous reviews and wrote them off as soft office types...oh my fellow sufferers how wrong I was. I waited until t
  20. By a controlled experiment taking into account all variables over a specific period .. other than that, ask on a shooting forum.
