  1. Rucksack for me with a bergen liner. It goes through the wash after with comfort to keep the water repellent intact.
  2. Nice shooting and a body count higher than a Rambo film, Well done the farmer would have been chuffed at that.
  3. I'm a springer user with the TX 200HC and enjoy the challenge of accurate shots, If i had a choice I would look at the HW100kt and if money was no object the Daystate Airwolf MTC but £1500 is a bit out of my price range. Saying that a lad at the local gun club got one and it so deadly accurate, First night he was shooting .22 cartridges off the stand at 25m, then he progressed to shooting pins which he took down first time one after another. However without using the marksmanship principles that you need to accomplish that a good gun will only shoot as well as the person holding it. Still he
  4. Hi James, depending on where you are in Lanarkshire bearing in mind it's the biggest county in Scotland, I have a couple of permissions that allow me to take another person with me and would be happy enough to have a chat first before taking you out (not literally ) on the ground.. As the lads above have said, it takes a bit of time and more often than not it's who you know and chapping doors that get the results. Darkie
  5. Really enjoyed the read and the photos were fine, at least i could see the Ratmageddon fest near the hump. A dead rat is always good in my books, well done
  6. Can't think of a better way of relieving the boredom
  7. Glad to see things haven't changed since I've been away, nice shooting as always Skot
  8. laugh! I nearly shat myself. you've got have a laugh, life's too short
  9. Last I heard he shot the last guy who snapped a twig while stalking, got buried on his permission somewhere
  10. Sounds like a plan, was hoping to get out on my permission tonight but not heard back from the owner grrrrrr, Hopefully you'll get a decent bag.
  11. Well looks like I must be be the only Gay in the village lol, but I'm with Villaman on this one, for zeroing and general plinking the marigolds stay indoors but I use a pair of olive green neoprene gloves when I'm on the ground that allows my finger and thumb to be exposed. You ever tried feeding a pellet in a barrel with gloves on? damn nigh impossible. just for good measure I have my ghillie glove wraps on as well (just like my pic ).
  12. I like the stock, looks like a sort of burnt wood finish to me but all in all a damn fine job,
  13. Nice shooting that's 5 less to worry any reds

Just can't believe the police did nothing since they are quick enough to support the scumbags when they go round a place to remove an animal. What they did was plain sick and deserve to be locked up and banned from dealing with animals for life since they are quick enough to get that sentence passed on us mere mortals. My sincere condolences and I really do hope you get the justice you deserve.
  15. Well not to flog a dead horse, this has come up in previous chats. Everything is and still will be until after the Scottish Independent referendum and then the damn thing will be likely to rear it's head to save upsetting the clubs and individuals who legitimately use air rifles and pistols and lose the 'yes' votes. pretty much like doing a sweetner in the budget before an election!!!!!
  16. Nice shooting as always but then again I'd expect nothing less keep the pics and write ups coming of mac and his exploits, good read
  17. Good read mate, made me chuckle hopefully the next one will hit the ground.
  18. Well done to all of you that's quite a feat. Was that at the hides you built previously?
  19. At least you got the tree rats, that memory thing is a bugger, now what was it I was going to type?
  20. well done, very nice bag and well done to your mate since it was his first time out on live quarry
  21. I have two, one is externally mounted and set at 16m (rifle is zeroed at 25m) which allows me 2 POI's. I also use it for estimating approx range as well as the further away the target the more Mil-dots will show between the cross-hairs and the laser dot i.e.25m is one dot below 35m 2 dots etc. The other laser is built into my scope which I haven't fitted yet but i will use in the same way as the first. If you look on You-tube and check out vermin hunters or type Si Pittaway in, he has done a video on it. hope this helps you out. ATB Darkie.
  22. i use a tx 200 and never a problem in the 7 years I've had it although it was from new around £350 with a reasonable mil dot sight and gun bag
  23. So let me visualise the scenario: Two maggies having a 'quiet' conversation when one says to the other "did you hear that?" turns around to see his mate lying down and says "what the frack?" and whack - lights out!. I like it
  24. I count at least 5 so well done to the lad . Btw where's yours?
