How are you supposed to keep lambs dry in a field when it’s raining? i get what you mean about the dagging but I would leave the belly on until there going to be slaughtered.

It would be handy if we could all have clamp silage instead of round bales, that would stop the wrapping problem. Its a vicous circle with bale wrapping, we have to buy the wrapping to put on the bales we then have to pay for it to be taken away then they sell us it back as stock board...

My neighbor is a culprit, he just cuts the plastic off on the stack and drives off with the bale. The plastic blows over my fields and onto my shed, it’s a pain throwing it all back over the fence. We’ve had words but I think the old bugger is well past caring lol them fly tippers are a bunch of tw@s as well, you leave a gate open over night and there’s a heap of crap on the lane!

What type of parlour do you have? Or are you a high tech farm with a couple robots? One of my perms is on a big dairy farm, there near enough milking 24 hours a day, mostly poles doing the job.

There a bit more civilised to work with than beef cattle, that can get a bit risky at times ?

They are selling them cheaper than that without a sale in my local store.
