    I've kept water dragons tortoise iguana and a gecko and the gecko was the easiest to keep,they only need a heat mat and not all different types of bulbs that need to be changed or blow every so often and are easy to handle

    If you do get him a terrapin take it out of the tank when feeding an put it in a bucket with a couple of inches of water with it's foodfor about 20 minutes or so till it eats and does it's business it saves the water in the tank getting as dirty but as said a tortoise is much better

    A junkie up around my way had a very aggressive pit bull and he used to let it grab a hold of other junkies and and rag them until they handed over they're drug's,I remember hearing one of them the dog's bite hurt like f**k,I'd say that was awful for you to witness that as a kid,just at the start of the pandemic a young kid was killed by two rotties a couple of miles up the road from,and some clown a few door's up from me had a pit bull not that long ago and it was a big f****r and the fella is a bit thick and didn't realise what he had at the end of the lead he bought it because he had one be

    Going back about 30 year's ago the coal yard up the road from me had akita rottie crosses I've never see more people aggressive dogs in my life

    When we were kid's we used to wander up the backroads about a mile from my house and we regularly see a fella from the other end of my housing estate walking with a wheelbarrow he was a strange cnut and we would run when we see him and it turned out he was dumping bits of his wife and another woman he met in a pub,he got done for it a few year's later

    Haha probably,fossets circus had a compound a few miles from where I grew up and there was a couple of ponies and camel's grazing in one of they're field's and the two were taken lumps out of each other,and the very odd time we got to see a tiger elephant etc

    I've seen a magpie fighting a stoat,and twice I've seen young pike about 3 or 4 inches long jumping out of the water catching flies and when I was about 14 me and me mate's were swimming in the canal and a mink got in and came right up to us and swam around us for a few minutes,and the funniest one was seen a camel and a pony fighting each other in a field
