  1. Brilliant offer! I know there is someone who does collars on here but not entirely sure of their username, one of the lads who have been on here longer than me should be able to help
  2. Got to be careful though, if the dog is constantly messing with it, it won't get chance to heal. I'd personally clean it in salt water each day, put a sock on it and put a collar on the dog to stop it getting at it.
  3. Rio? Quite suitable with the World Cup and that on at the minute too.
  4. Does seem like he's after some reassurances about the decision he's made as to get a rescue dog but this could be an interesting topic if it's just a general 'let's hear your stories of rescue dogs' I imagine they'll be a few who've had decent workers from them.
  5. Will cost a lot more than 200 euros if he rips them off running, bite the bullet and get them taken off and it'll be worth it in the long run.
  6. Exactly, like you say the parent or the kid should have asked the man first whether the dogs ok to stroke, if he says yes and the kid gets bit then fair enough it's his responsibility. Some dogs just don't appreciate strangers coming up to them, especially kids who may make sudden movements towards the dog.
  7. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/saluki-dog-levenhulme-jeremy-sutton-7074417 http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/saluki-dog-jeremy-sutton-levenshulme-7074439 Just seen this in the M.E.N and the woman is complaining about the punishment the man received for HER child approaching his dog whilst on the lead. Yes he should have warned the child but said he was distracted as other children were petting his other dog at the same time. He's now resigned from his post, been given £1500 worth of fines and the dog has to be muzzled
  8. Looks like it to me, great shout!
  9. Hi mate Have you tried switching her to the opposite side of you when you see a dog so you're in between her and the dog and then just walk on like she's not doing anything so completely ignoring it? Also I know it may look a little silly but putting a harness on her to give you greater control may help keep her going forward and away from the dog she's seen. When she's then walked on give her a little praise once the dog is out of sight and repeat each time you do it. Not claiming to be a dog genius but just a suggestion I haven't seen mentioned yet. Good luck and fairplay to you
  10. Looks a lovely spot to get out and about in, lovely piece of permission
  11. Not from the area but surely a couple of pics would be more beneficial than a brief description if you've got any or could get any uploaded. Just increases the chances of getting them back, all the best with finding them.
  12. Nice looking pup, good luck with her! Ruby?
  13. Love the coat on that terrier! All looking in great shape.
  14. Keep going with the ball until she's retrieving every time perfectly, still got ages to train her yet so just take your time and practice that as well as the other basics each day. A few more months and the rabbit dummy should be fine for her to retrieve and she'll know what you want her to do with it.
  15. Brilliant dogs. Got a 9 year old JRT as a house pet that we've had since 8 weeks and he's a cracking dog, protects the house as much as you'd expect him too, chilled out around the house and will walk for miles when out. He's also incredibly loyal and another bonus is they rarely get stuff wrong with them (touch wood) they're really tough little dogs. Hope this helps.
  16. Surely it would depend on what you wanted to cross it with and why you'd want to cross it, looks like a cracking dog as it is!
  17. How has this thread turned into an argument like this? The lads dog died in action and this thread was in tribute to her. I think a new topic should be started if you want to talk about the rules of farmers etc... Sorry for the loss of your dog though, she was a lovely looking bitch!
