  1. Ye unfortunately you weren't there to gut them all Dai haha. And yes I did use your LED lamp haha I would of had 50 with a lightforce.
  2. Best night I've had with her on her own upto date. Not bad for a bull x with no agility or stamina haha. I was the most knackered out of the pair of us! Ended up with 38 but 3 of them were after the picture, couldn't be bothered to row them up again.
  3. Just passed 6 months now and I'm over the moon with mine. His biggest fault is it's impossible to get him to stay put to get a decent photo, but I can live with that if that's his worst fault. Anyone else got any recent pictures to put up?
  4. I can't fault mine, she's been easy from day one. More than capable at doing good bags of rabbits regularly (just over 380 since September) but also happy to work well on every other quarry tried on upto now. I can't deny I've seen plenty of bull x's that wouldn't be kennelled by me. But I've also seen half a dozen from this line that I would happily pay good money for. Horses for courses at the end of the day, but I would struggle to agree that there is no place for bull in any modern day lurcher.
  5. Just had a few hours out with one of these and it is a great bit of kit, no more looking in the grass for a filter after you drop it!
  6. Mine managed to do this in early August and I got it stitched. As pointed out above my bitch chewed the stitches out after about four days. Fortunately the bottom half of the wound had bonded quite strongly and didn't fully open again. She was back running again by early September, but if the stitches hadn't been there for the initial healing it would have taken twice as long to heal.
  7. Similar night myself, not a breath of wind. But at least that moon was under wraps. Your dog's looking well!
  8. That's basically what I told him, so fingers crossed it'll come with time. I'll try and get back out with him next week and give it some more experience with mine.

  10. Cheers, I told him perseverance was the only option. He has some good flat fields for ferreting so having a go in the daytime may help.
  11. My mate has been keen for me to take him out with me and my bitch to help bring on his young dog. Anyway last night came in wet and windy so thought we'd have a quick look out. I let mine catch a few and his pup was pulling on the lead and eager to get involved. So then we got right upto a squatter and kicked it out of it's seat for his pup, his pup was all over it for a minute or so and had half a dozen chances to strike, but didn't. We tried again and same result. I tried to encourage it to grasp one of the dead rabbits and it seems as though it is uncomfortable having the fur in its mouth.
  12. A few I couldn't resist when the dog decided to try and catch a wren and then didn't know how to get down.
  13. He's been pretty good on the whole. Mine is similar with the retrieving, sometimes he will and sometimes he won't. But to be honest my bull x bitch won't retrieve a thing until she catches a rabbit and then she retrieves every one, so judging by today the pup might be similar.
  14. Had the pup out with me for an hour this afternoon and I heard a rustle in the rushes and turned around and he had pushed a tiny young rabbit out of the cover, (probably accidentally). He ran it about thirty feet and then retrieved it to hand. Not bad for less than three months, wasn't intentional but at least he knows what to do for next year. How's anyone else's pup from this litter getting on?
  15. Ye, looking forward to seeing if he works as well as he looks.
