Hw98 Reviews And Pics Needed ;)
WhiteRabbit replied to WhiteRabbit's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Skot, that's mega! I've seen a few things written on the net and a few magazine based reviews but they seem quite clinical and clean about it- from probably renting it for the day and shooting down an indoor range to show the results. As much that's ok and shows Lab test results, out in the field is where it really counts What do you make of the stock? I've seen some people actually change it for a 97KT stock instead. Many thanks, White -

Hi guys, Really tempted by one of these, been on my mind for a while now as I'd love a Weihrauch but being a fan of Break Barrel designs this is up my street and comes with a lot of bells and whistles as compared to my BSA's. However, other than Si and the lads, I've not seen a lot of reviews or owners around here. Also, I'd live to see some images as Google doesn't seem to be finding much. Anything related is appreciated. White -

Hi guys, Been talking to the misses about my ferrets and the fact I want them castrated. I love my fezza's, they're very much pets as much as tools of the trade but she's keen on getting a micro: if there's any available. I've been discussing although they'll be staying in a chinchilla/large rat cage, are their needs and lifestyle any different to the ferrets we know and love and can they actually hunt and if so, what? If anyone has had them, I'd be intrigued to find out from first hand experience than to internet interpretations or from the Pets At Home "guide to pets" LOL. Whit

Pigeon Shooting Lincolnshire

You need to get out and start knocking doors, nothing comes for free in this world. -
I think ideally and fairly, you'd be better asking to purchase any rabbits going spare as you're looking to start a business it'll be good to care for these people helping you out. You don't have to offer much but you'd be more likely to get some I'm not telling you, by any means, only sharing my opinion but wishing you the very best with the business and any hunting you take up yourself. Business cards and practice down a rifle range: that's all I'd pay for. Pest control isn't a free industry nor should we be paying anyone to do the work.... Just keep getting out there and knocking doors, looking presentable and taking any paper work and details with you (only incase they ask, you have them) be professional too, as much as it may be farmers or farm hands you'll be talking to, you want to show you're someone to do a job properly and with precision. Let us know how you get on. White

You have to get it off your own back, were all in this game together and trying to keep what permissions we have, let alone find more work out there: it's not something were willing to give up for anyone, let alone a stranger to the forum (no offence) One good thing to do is get yourself some business cards, hand them out to any friends or people who may pass them on or try knocking some doors, look presentable and show you're willing to do the job with precision and ease. Take any documents like an FAC, insurance details or details that you may think they'd like to see- you don't want any

Can only say I've held and shot a few through a HC, not the usual TX200. Absolutely fine rifle and if I had the money, it would be between a HW97, HW98 or the TX200HC.... Probably more so in the .22 cal as it's my taste but any cal of this rifle would make a great rifle to hunt or plink with

Budget Springers..your Experiences
WhiteRabbit replied to sauer's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Never had an issues with a BSA.... Just saying -
I know people use decoys and other means of imitating pigeons gathering in the field, Personally, I tend to hunt in wooded areas and the occasional field edge where they'll be sitting in the sun or picking at the farmers crop.... Pick them off as of when I can or simply if they're in my sights. My permissions includes a few types of quarry, so it's not always just pigeons. Quite a few YouTube videos out there demonstrating how to hunt them or even how to use the apparatus to attract them. White

Not had to call them myself, mostly as I'm out of sight on my permissions. However, I have had shifty eyes from trespassing dog walkers and campers/hikers before now. I may in future look into calling them myself should I get spotted more, private land or not. I shall not fancy being surrounded by ARV I also carry a (folded) copy of my insurance details too as you'll never know who may request to see them. Best to be prepared than not at all. White

Only got a few magpies the past season, plenty of crows but still helps the songbirds flourish taking them out White

How quiet are these stoegers though? I keep reading that they're the quietest on the market but how quiet are they and by how much for a springer? Well done on the kills, always good starting with the birds and this time of year when farmers are out in the field, there's plenty to go for White

I shot a rat a few weeks back and when it impacted, the rat sort of leapt into some copper hot water/heating pipes. Felt a plonker but got my friend to stick his arm down and reach for it or it would have left a right stink :-/ I have a keen shot for the rats but they do seem to get one back on me before they leave this world Nice shooting anyhow, look forward to hearing more White

In all fairness, they are both respectfully good PCP rifles and the fact they're UK manufactured, should you have any issues: you won't need to send them far. So far, as a current BSA fan boy I've never had to send anything away but just a good reassurance feeling when dealing with PCPs as to springers There is quite a price bracket between these rifles. If money is no issue, the R10 is a seriously good rifle and plenty more features to the scorpion, but the scorpion still makes a good rifle and with the change left from not buying the R10- you could always get a good silencer, bipod and
