Hold lamp to your feet turning it on an off whilst calling also put time in playing fetch or retrieve each time he comes back rewarding him with small treat . Try limit his space when playing retrieve somewhere like a lane way or side entrance so he have no where else to go other than by you taking the toy an giving him a treat

Taughts are wit you bro no one likes losing a dog people forget these dogs become part of the family ie the pack. Its hard to get over I lost my dog this month last year friend of mine rought her out on a walk do a bit of bushing he was out any ways walking coming threw some ditches when he heard an seen a farmer raising a loading his rifle. Dont shoot he shouted dont shoot the farmer hesitated telling him put the dogs on leads he called lass back that was her name lass as she turned the b*****d shot her in the side she took off an I never saw her again she ran away in shock and died in pain -
Why you waiting so long to run her she be ready to tag a long on any outings an watch other dogs do there stuff . She be watching an learning bitchs come on a lot quicker than dogs.

You from tallaght . I am them hills are destroyed now for a walk or evan a lamp. . . I walk as far as brittas on lamps out befor I get good spin. ? Same ditching and bushing bout 2 mile walk if want good spin. My jrt runs an skips all day lol

I'd get both if you could a pup you could keep while training him from the older dog or if you have any friends you could tag along with to help train your pup. Thats just me

Just bad minded I'd say ......many farmers refused me on there land then there are those who happelly allow you threw as long as fenses arent messed up and gates are closed when finished ........ just take the good with bad.......... prob have no luck on his land any ways ha ha

Hi lads just back from a terrific nights lamping for me it was . First night out with my pup on lamp . Made me proud 3 rabbits lads happy days . Then to my horror I noticed on her back right leg I seen one of her inside toes were swollen not an awful lot but swollen any how . She seems fine walking not holding it up or anything . Would appreciate any advice from fellow hunters cheers
