    There's a technical description for this condition, am sure it was "Sandymere" on here who wrote about it, maybe have a look through hi old posts, he explained it really well. Glad to hear your dog is still with you, mine cost me £1300 in the vets when it happened to me!

    I've repaired an air rifle stock in the past that as bad as that, but it was only a gay little 12ft/lb one, not sure I'd be taking the chance with a mans gun! When I did mine, I used a dowel and cascamite wood glue, don't use bostik hahaha.

    My only experience of a "broken" dog, was my Bull X. Had him out lamping one night, he did too much and blew up, cost me around £1300 (not insured either!) to save his life, and he was no use for work after (I knew that would be the case after speaking to others) At the time there was no question about having him PTS, and I definitely wouldn't have passed him on, after all who would want him?
