"Entering to Charlie", Why is it locked ?
Strong Stuff replied to chartpolski's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Loads of differences. Ian isn't responsible for them, so am sure he couldn't care less what goes in JD's books, he is responsible for this site though. It's unlikely anyone will get their door booted in as a result of a scanned photo in a book, half the softarses who've posted photos of illegal activity on here haven't even removed the exif data from the photo, photos of dogs on fox and deer taken 2 days ago, leading to investigation and ultimately seized dogs/vehicles/computers etc. -

A little bit of sex wee just came out when I saw that -
Then you should learn mate, better safe than sorry, it doesn't have to be a massive wooden break stick, here's a key ring that will do the job. http://www.elitekubotans.com/small-tapered.html I am serious, it will take a minute to use, I'd say the hardest bit would be stopping the dogs moving or ignoring the screaming of the dog and or people. I'd say it's about confidence not skill, it's very unlikely you'll get bitten if you're confident, get stood over the attacking dog, hand in it's collar, tight as you can, stick in the side of it's gob and prise it open, if you've got a lead

It's to be hoped none of your children ever have a fight in a public place!!!! Cull the little bast@rds!

DIOTTO BOOTS SCRATCH RESISTANT.
Strong Stuff replied to camokev64's topic in Hunting Boots & Clothing
I'd have thought that if he ever wanted to sell another pair to anyone, then he'd be bending over backwards to make you happy again. You've got to give him the chance to put things right though, it's only my opinion but the first person you told about a problem should have been him, rather than on here. But, it'll be interesting to see how they resolve your problem, I'd expect it to be quickly as he is saying "will take the market by storm because of the new properties and innovations offered" -

G, I've got a dog here that will never be getting off the lead in a public place, I won't muzzle him because I hate them, but I've had a little insight into what he can do and won't be risking it again. To say he has no kind of life is wrong, he gets somewhere near 3 hours of exercise a day, every day (see Bosuns comment about there being nothing left of me lol), yes it is all on a lead now, but isn't it the law anyway that he should be on a lead? He doesn't know any better ......... I do! It's definitely NOT "mint" to have a dog that wants to kill other dogs, but it can also be ea

What do you keep banging on about dead birds for i couldnt give a shit about a dead bird in a garden " anything can happen with animals "....................well best not keep them then eh..........or can a dog only attack a child if its previously had a punch up with another dog .......funny how some folks minds work. If she's not too far from me and still warm give me a shout!

And the manager of the pub! It's down to him who lets in with a dog, same as people, if they are sociable and well behaved they are welcome. I don't know why anyone would want to take a DA dog into a pub in the first place, too stressful for me!

Agreed if it attacked people. But to say that if it attacked other dogs it should be dead? The dog is (probably) a much watered down pet version of the result of hundreds of years of breeding, that's as daft as saying that if your lurcher is seen chasing a rabbit then it should be shot, how can you criticise a dog for doing what is was bred for? Using your reasoning, the spaniel that was attacked, if it brings a dead bird back, then shoot it! It is down to the owners of dogs with that kind of drive to keep them out of trouble, the dog is doing exactly what it should be doing.

Why would a dog aggressive dog be any more likely to attack a child than any other dog? Are all your working lurchers potential child killers? Drivey dogs have no place in public places end of story.

Who's going to clean up the mess when my dirty dog has shredded the hedge hog though, makes a right mess of them!
