The shoot i am on has recently had permission to have a new pheasant pen in a small but quite narrow wood, it is a warm wood and well sheltered from the wind and it will have a cover crop beside it to help hold the birds. But the wood is not far of the boundry. We need a bird which holds well to the release pen throughout the season but which can also fly well, any suggestions?
