  1. I've never had anything but .22. But like all have said personal preference. Same goes for your pellets too. When I got my AA I went with the logical choice AA pellets and never had a problem either in the range or in the field.
  2. Thanks people. It's not a new rifle I've had a while. Think I'll just leave it be unless my groups start to open up.
  3. hey all, looking for bit of advice "cleaning my rifle" whats the best for cleaning out the barrel? rod or pull through? i have a rod right now but ive been reading on forums that pulling and pushing the rod can sometimes ruin/scratch the inside and nacker up the path of the pellet. Is this true? Any help would be great.
  4. well was at the shooting range today for the first time, was great!! got too meet bic mac(top bloke!!) and so where his family. his grandson is a wicked shot!! he was very kind in filling my rifle up so i didn't have to leave so early.( thanks mate) Im gonna have to invest in buddy bottle so can carry it in the bike, because i don't want to use the pump and look like a pillac in the car park. my only gripe is im at work for the next 9 days and wont be able to go up there till then( oh the woes of being a chef)

  8. Just found a gun club/shooting range about ten mins from my house. I thought the nearest one was in Sunderland. So I'm well happy!!! Gonna get myself down there as much as possible to bring my aim up and meet new people then hopefully get a new permission. The place is steve Smith's shooting ground. He seems like a really nice guy, very helpful and friendly. There was a canny few people in and around too. Always nice to meet new like minded people.
  9. Thanks for the info I've tried looking for the permission papers but can't see them any chance you can point me to them.
  10. Yeah I love getting outdoors even just for a hike with the wife. But I still hear the check machine while I'm out lol. I need to find a new permission gonna join a club near by to keep up my aim.
  11. Hi I have the s400 with mag attachment. Granted its a little fiddly to move pellet round to the chamber but once you get used to it. It works very well. But it becomes second nature. The rifle is very well made and shoots straight as an arrow. You will save a few quid buy getting the 400 rather than the 410. It's an all round excellent rifle.
  12. Hi looking for shooting permission in the north east. I live in Newcastle upon Tyne. Any help in the right direction is appreciated.
  13. Hi, my name is Chris from newcastle upon tyne. I started out shooting five years ago with air rifles but due to a massive work load recently I've not been able to get out at all. Have joined this site to hopefully meet new people like minded in this sport. I'm a sous chef in a very busy hotel in newcastle. I love being outdoors in the woods to get away from the noise of the kitchen. I ride a motorbike which is another love in my life. I ride an BMW R1200 GS which is great for all terains.
