So I went out today to buy the daystate huntsmen. Got to the shop shouldered it and bloody hated it!! Don't get me wrong there was a little voice in my head saying "ill have problems with it" but I still wanted one. But just didn't fit right. Started to look at other rifles. Shouldered loads, liked loads. But finally found that the hw100 was the one. So here I am one of the 100 crew. Only put a few rounds throu it and I'm now waiting for a taxi to take the wife out for dinner. Can't wait to get it zeroed and out in the field. Got to admit I'm fecking over the moon with it.

That's the thing i normally have some in my rifle slip but took them out the other week. i have no idea why i didnt put them back in. Ive always got loads of pellets too when im on my second from last tin i always by more. Its infuriating cos i had i scan throu my binos and could see loads of maggies and crows kicking around. Next time thou. atb

just had a look at there website, not to bad on price either. i may invest in some but have been looking at some seeland ones, i'd prefer to try them on before i buy them thou. see what the shops have got around here first. atb

hi gents, The Mrs is at the gym for a couple hours so i thought i'd nip out to the perm for a few. I've just changed the scope on the pro sport so o knew i needed to re zero it before i began to do my rounds. Normally when i'm zeroing the scope when its been on my r10 its only took a few pellets and its bang on. so i grab a hand full of pellets put them in my pouch and i'm off. fight my way throu the road works on the A1( which seem to get worse each day) and get to my permission. now my perm has a hell of a lot of dog walkers some who i see regulary and stop to say hi so after chatting f

Good price that like. There heavy thou adds another 900g to your kit. I've been looking at the mtc genisis ul. Looking for a simple light wieght scope. But I'd like to have the scb recitcle, like the viper I've got just lighter. Atb

Don't rub too hard thou. But your very welcome mate. Atb

Use a little tin foil and lightly rub over it. It will look like your destroying the blueing but it Will be fine. Wipe it down then give it a rub over with an oily cloth. Atb

I am too thinking of going to springer full time. In the form of hw95k or hw99s and have then tuned by sfs. I do like my pcp but I like the idea of being out all day/night and not have worry about topping up the air. Atb

The crombo was the one I was looking at, as it's the cheapest. But wasn't sure being the bottom of the ladder so to speak that they will be any good. Hence the reason I was asking. So you think that the other "desk mounted" ones are not worth it? Atb

Yeah think I'm gonna hold onto the r10, I changed the scope yesterday to lighter one and it's seems a lot better. I do really like the rifle To be Honest. Think I'm gonna look for a lighter springer thou. Atb

You reckon that the scope could be making it worse? It's about 900g and possibly making it of balance. I'd love a huntsman if I'm honest, there stunning, but that's not what we're on about just now. Atb
