They sound like numpties lol, the farmer should of made sure they where insured in all fairness. But I see your point of why to get there when its still relatively light. Whether its dark or light when I turned up though id have a look round with the torch before shooting. Looks like they just turned up and shot what ever lit up.

It was a bit under power running at about 9.8 when I brought it and chronographed it when I got home from buying, I stripped it just to clean up and noticed the seal had a tiny split so that's what made me change the seal. I chronographed it again when it was back together and power is still roughly the same. Ive even put my other scopes on it from my 97k just to check its not the scopes that came with it and its still the same. Maybe just all needs bedding in? I dont know. Ive tried H&N FTT RWS super domes and just tried AA fields all the same results

I recently brought myself the weihrauch 95 second hand off someone I know, ive stripped it down, changed the piston seal and polished the piston. Ive put a few 100 pellets through it but just cannot get zeroed even at 15 yards, ill have a group of 5 same hole like earlier then there dropping 3mill and grouping down if that makes sense. Any ideas?

I agree with wezza I got a cree off ebay for £14.99 and I also got a lenser p7 which cost me £49 and the cree is just as good.

How do you keep you blades sharp? Anyone use the blade tech?? Mine just arrived today so going to run my mora through it a few times and see how it does. Anyone else use it?

had crows follows us around on one farm waiting for them i`m sure they knew our van when we pulled in the yard ... cleaver fookers got one here shits on my workshop roof half 8 every morning waiting for his bit of toast ... Ill use them as decoys then haha. You want me to round ill soon stop him shitting on your roof ?.

So I take it that none of you take them with you lol. Ill see what he says when I go up next week, your right though like f**k are they going in my car haha. Just trying to keep him happy my first proper big perm so want to hold on to it, we know how hard they are to get.

I got a shovel its finding somewhere to bury them im not sure the farmer would be happy me digging up his land to bury dirty rats in lol.

Just wondering what some of you lads do with your dead rats? Farmer wants me to obviously take them off his land once dead but where can I take them?

so get there early but dont shoot till after he's stopped working,I read a ratting story, where someone shot and broke an important piece of farm machinery, because the glow from a red LED light looked like a rats eye Good shout mate didnt think of it like that, think the farmer would be happy with that already been to meet him and hes sound.

Thats the problem ive got to go around 6 at the moment as the farmer is busy around the yard till then and dont want me shooting there whilst hes working which is fair enough. Although the nights are getting lighter so couple of weeks and should be fine. Not got NV at the moment, im in the process of making my own though just waiting on a few more bits to arrive. Also in the summer when we dont get dark till late whats the ratting like? They still come out?

I'm relatively new to shooting and its probably one of the best sports/hobbies ive done. The reason why I say this is due to how helpful everyone I speak to are on forums and Facebook pages. Everyone is more than happy to give you as much information as possible whether the question is stupid or not (and ive asked a few ?). Even the day I joined my club the old timers couldnt help enough. Tops lads.

Hi guys, im a newish shooter and have just got myself a decent ratting permission around a fairly big farm yard. This is my second ratting permission which I can tell is going to produce a hell of a lot more rats than my other permission which is just a small stable and theres only 2 places where the rats show. Anyway my new one is huge so they could be anywhere, if you where me turning up on the first night what and where would you be looking? And whats usually the best places to look? Ie around bales, in the livestock holds etc. I obviously be looking for rat runs but if I couldn't find any

Ive not heard of chairgun thanks guys so will definitely give that a go now. The reason I keep it zeroed at 30yards is due to mostly practicing at that range down the club. I do find it difficult though when I practice at 10-15 yards as I need to use about half a mil hold over and scopes only got mil dots. Maybe just need more practice ?

What's most peoples zero distance of choice. At the moment my hw97 k and 95 are both zeroed at 30yards? Although at the moment im only doing close range ratting, 10-15yards. Does anyone say have theres zeroed at a constant 50yards even if only shooting close range? Im not doing any long range shooting at the moment mostly to being a newbie and not confident at clean kills over 30 yards and not being confident at hold over etc at this time. But whats the best zero distance.
