At a party got really high, lay on the couch next to some fit girl, I suddenly felt a hand slide down my trousers and start jacking me off. I was really into it, so just lay back and enjoyed it. When I'm off snowboarding (yes this sounds minging, but it's amazing) a load of us have coffee with butter in it. Really keeps you warm when on the piste, or off piste. Really don't know if that's going to help the old-boy, as it's a general body warmer. I guess you could try a warm foot bath, but that's a temporary measure and won't resolve the real issue. Personally, get him to a doctor and get it checked out.

With screens, be careful. I had an issue with the 'egg room' I was in being lit up by the screen on my home made night vision system. Made me very obvious and didn't see many rats at all! Sucked. Ended up draping a hoodie over me, which later became a funky blanket to stop the screen shine from illuminating anything behind me, or me. ZERO experience shooting with a NV system that doesn't use a screen. Sorry.

WOOO! I'm not dead! Don't worry. Just been crazy busy recently. So I'm just saying a hi to everyone and keeping everyone up to date with what I've got planned. What's been going on here, have I missed much? Not been out shooting in....FOREVER! Only time I've had to myself in the last month is about half of a Tuesday lunch break a week ago, haha. The farmer has said I can have up to £200 to spend on a night vision system! WAHOO!!! Only problem is that I'm currently using a self-build and have ZERO experience outside of building my own gear. What would you recommend for £200? It can be stand alone, or it can be used with a scope. I'm generally shooting within 15-20 meters, so it really doesn't need great capabilities. Maximum shooting range of 30 meters. Night will be pitch black! No light at all. Any suggestions....and......go.....

Day 3. Set up in House 10, ready to bust more rats. IR system ready, all my gear loaded up, ready to roll, not a single thing could go wrong. Day 2. After a satisfying session, and with a load of snares set up, I was hyped about going out shooting. But for the time being, I had to get some sleep. When I got home I took out all the batteries I had and set them to charging. Got changed and went to bed. My chicken poo smelling trousers sat on the kitchen floor. Sorry about the uber delay everyone. Manic super crazy busy! Right, where to begin. I got a call from the farmer because house 2 and house 10 were infested. Would I be able to go on a major session to clean it up? Okay, that's not word for word. Well, I booked Friday off work, which allowed me to go shooting Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday night! Oh my goodness, did I go to town in that place! Well, I have finally found 10 minutes 'free time' where I'm able to give a little heads up for the crazy pleasure that was my marathon shooting/ratting session. I'll do a full write up very shortly...but not tonight, as I'm out playing pool. Amazingly I'm on a pool team where I'm the only one that's not permanently working on a farm! Brilliant. I love how so many people slammed them so quickly, and so few stood up to defend them. It would be hysterical (but woefully tragic if it went too far, but with lashings of irony) if it was set on fire, and it was some kids play fort. Obviously the kids would need to survive and escape unharmed, but the backlash would be epic. I really hope some stupid anti doesn't try and set it on fire, just in case it is a kid's play den. -
One thing to think about, there are always going to be different opinions on different things. That's a part of being human. Don't ever be worried about what other people think. Me and my 'toy gun' can happily bang along with the best of them. The thing to consider, will a £500 BSA Ultra make you a better shot? Will it make a rat any more dead than a ratty? Will you be more upset WHEN you knock it? Do you know what you need to do to fix it if something goes wrong? What will you do if you drop it? What will it do that the Ratty won't do? Mate, if you're looking for cheap...that rules out PCP. If you're ratting, a springer won't get you many in a night. After the first bang sound...they'll all be gone. It'll be a long time between shots. What kinds of distances will you be shooting? If you're super close up, it might be worth having some fun with a CO2 pistol...although you need to make sure you get accurate head shots and beware of stray pellets damaging stuff. Anniversary weekend coming up. So I get the Friday off work. My wife isn't able to get the time off work, so gives me permission to do whatever while she's at work. So, I'm now shooting Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday night! Hopefully I'll be bringing back some good pics and a hell of a write-up.....or I'll just flake, take one shot, kill one rat, and then sit around waiting for 4 hours a night! Only time will tell.
