You must be an annoying twit to everyone bar your muslim boyfriends. Why are you so critical, insulting and presumptuous to everyone except muslims. I try not to be presumptuous but you remind me of some pathetic bum lickers I see hanging around muslims getting treated like a pitiful lapdog who think they are cool and tough with the bad boys coming out with sad, twisted arguments that only divert from the real problems. Keep it up lapdog one day you will get some respect #sarcasm

Legally Armed Customer Shoots Ak-47 Wielding Robber
Silversnake replied to neems's topic in General Talk
Maybe so but at least they can make their own mistakes instead of whinging that police didn't react. If they choose not to arm themselves when they have the option and they get done over by criminals it is on them. Here in oz if I defended myself against a criminal I realistically could be in more trouble than the criminal would be if they got caught doing me over. I know which option I would prefer. -
Yeah, 2 pups are pretty demanding as you can imagine however spending lots of time with them individually and together. Recall on 13 week boy is bang on even with other dogs/distractions in same proximity. Ticking all the boxes for basic training so far (leave, stay, down, up, retrieve)... Wee 7 week lass is also coming on well, sitting, staying and knows her name. The kibble I'm using is Autarky natural blend for 'active dogs' plus varied mince (lamb, chicken and beef), veg & fruit and the occasional tinned oily fish. Raw egg, goats milk and salmon oil a couple of times a week

Legally Armed Customer Shoots Ak-47 Wielding Robber

I could go on, but I won't. LOL. The right is certainly abused, but that's the nature of rights I guess. There will never be a perfect answer to this problem as someone will always abuse power given the chance. So I believe give everyone equal chance and live and let live. Atvb. -
Good luck Mickc, sadly what you wish for is not going to happen soon but I agree with you.
-
Once again I agree totally but this will not happen without honest leaders and massive upheaval. Unfortunately this is what it has come to imho. I hope the truth wins in the end and not that it means much but I like your style.

$hit is hitting the fan, many on here have seen it coming, often to extreme ridicule and censorship. Prepare yourselves as trouble is coming and it is never too late, but things are only going to get worse. Hope for the best prepare for the worst and the worst looks very bad to me right now.

You have summed it up and I agree totally, but what is the answer?

Thanks Max, much appreciated mate.

Let My Inexperience Be A Warning To Others.
Silversnake replied to Justin Glover's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Most working dogs will destroy your yard and everything in it, one that doesn't is the exception not the norm. My advice is accept this, accommodate it accordingly or don't get a working dog. Atvb. -
Thanks for that Max, I will keep it in mind but I probably won't be ready for some time. But if I lose these details I will ask you when the time comes.

How did I carry on? I only gave my honest opinion and that is all I will ever do. I really thought you could find a way to defend the folk of mt sisa. If you think I was accusing you of some foul act that is your own paranoia.
-
I respect your words immensely and I also respect decent muslims, but unfortunately it seems there can't be decent muslims without extremist psychopaths so a choice is going to have to be made. Is it better to make any choice too soon or too late?

You sound like a supporter or at least a potential supporter of ukip. I am curious what you think they could do to best improve British politics and the nation as a whole in their current position. This is not a loaded question or ambush I am genuinely interested in your honest opinion.

Sick f#%ker I just can't fathom that one but she somehow needs to learn what suffering is about...

My cousin was at the France Germany soccer game with his young son at the time of the last attacks and his sister is now in nice celebrating Bastille with her kids and I don't know if she is ok yet. I am really struggling with this $hit. Their mother is also due to meet my mother in Mauritius and was meant to fly out of Paris this morning, which I guess she is on the plane, but none of us know anything. THIS F#%KING MADNESS HAS TO STOP

Not sure of particulars and only posted as I had the conversation this morning coincidentally. He seemed very certain though and I have heard a similar story years ago.

Great idea but most of the lads I know are happy with the dogs available and hare coursing is not a big thing here. Most young blokes want to hunt pigs with dogs and we do have some excellent stock for this purpose and salukis will not add anything beneficial to pulling down a big boar that I can see. In future I have half a mind to get straws sent over of some honest coursing stock.

I try to stick to the BARF (bones and raw food) diet. If you have the time and/or inclination look it up, it is an interesting read.

It can be hard to tell from a photo but he looks a little overweight, granted he is not fully fit, but working weight I would have him a little leaner than that. All the best with him.

I am not %100 sure but someone told me we used to send ex racing greyhounds to Macau supposedly for the table and even made a tidy profit on the trade but the practice was banned for ethical reasons. As I said this is unverified just a friend told me today but if true that logic isn't good enough for the powers that be pesky.

If there is I haven't been able to find them. I have two bitches one sal x stag that can shift and has good wind and loves to chase but refuses to bite anything. I am fast running out of patience with her as she is nearly 2yo. Her dam is a show bred saluki but was used for hunting and is quite handy too the sire is from a long line of hunting staghounds. It took me a long time to find this litter and a 2000km round trip to get her and she appears to not have the fire! My new bitch is about 9 months old is unrelated saluki sire (show bred) x whippet. She has the fire and looks promising so far.

Marry in haste, repent at leisure. Loosing a dog is hard, but rushing in to fill that space with a rebound decision is a high risk path to follow. As much as admire saluki lurchers, they would not be my first choice with which to enter the working dog world. X2 to the above. as hard as it is to resist I would not rush into buying a pup. I think Saluki's are one of the most magnificent dogs but they are 'different' to other more traditional sighthounds from the UK. Make sure you are aware and prepared for that. Atvb.

I hope you stick with it and find what you want. Some things you want are a little misguided but as you said you want advice to LEARN. Insults and accusations are very unnecessary, but that treatment comes no matter what you do in life. Keep at it and you will get what you want eventually. My advice is keep researching, get amongst lurchers, salukis, etc as much as possible work out what quarry you want to or can pursue, even see if you can join someone for a chase (especially if they own parents of a litter you like) and when you find a suitable pup that appeals to you try your luck! What Type Will Your Next Lurcher Be?
Silversnake replied to neems's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Whats the diffrence between a paddock kelpie and a yard kelpie...? A paddock type kelpie tends to work with greater distance from the sheep and have a wider natural cast whereas the yard type are up close and often noisier. The latter are used for pushing sheep around for dipping, clipping etc and are the ones you see backing. They also have separate trials for the two traits and a dog which does both equally well is a bit of a holy grail. Hope that makes sense. To Silversnake: my pup has a fair bit of Karrawarra in him via both Boanong and Karana blood and they tend to be better paddock t
