  1. Variations are quick, I've had them ok'd on the phone, then stuck the form in and then arrive a week later
  2. I'm close; and that sounds alright, much wiggle room on price and any pictures? Any idea of the chokes?
  3. I can work with that longers. I'll give it a shot
  4. Good effort; I'm still waiting for my hob to click; the jills got it nailed. He's just sh*t!
  5. So I got a catty been practicing and just can't get a consistent approach to shooting. I just can't 'repeat' what I do shot for shot. Any tips 'marksmanship principles' if you will I love the idea of taking it with me whilst out bimbling around.... Particularly where discretion and noise are an issue.... To avoid upsetting people's peace and quiet obviously.
  6. It's crazy the difference! I was literally talking to someone today who got his SGC despite a conviction for Affray two years ago.... He got the BASC involved and they rolled straight over; basically BASC said to him; they just don't have the money to fight it; and when the law says you CANT have a shotgun certificate of you've been in prison for X time and if it's X time you can never ever even touch one; then the point becomes; "well any other time really the default should be I can" anyway; he got his on appeal he told me.
  7. In all fairness it doesn't exactly have my address written on it. However until my ferret court is finished I would just be photographing a double ferret hutch
  8. Shame it's not the FAC version Do you know how easy the tubes are to get hold of to make it fac?
  9. Walk into any gun shop and ask if they have any old battered .410's Loads of Belgian folding singles and single shot bolt action Webley scotts for under £60 kicking about if you don't worry about posh blueing/ejectors 3" chambers etc
  10. I know it's a single but there is a bloke selling 3 guns at the top of this forum one is a .410
  11. Rab123 it is dependant on a number of things. Like any office if someone is on holiday/sick/maternity then the workload is shared and as such slowed. If loads of people apply/renew at the same time (this time of year) then it'll take longer. Finally if you have any issues/niggles (not on voters address/have speeding tickets/not a British national/have dodgy family connections/anything not straight forwards then I imagine it'll take longer. I waited 2 weeks for my FAC to arrive after it was approved and 2 weeks prior to approve it. My SGC renewal last time (2011) took 1 week.
  12. My mate has a caution for trespass with a firearm; possession of a section 2 firearm without a licence and some obscure poaching offence all when he was 15. He's 25 now and got a SGC. Which he got last year (the cert not conviction) but in fairness they did look into the offences/caution and it was as he described a huge technicality as he was on the wrong side of a fence and the bloke he was with 'supervising' him was not and basically they looked at it for what it was.
  13. PLEASE might help !! Indeed; quickness to reply, was never intended to be rudeness!
  14. Please can I have it? I'll come fetch it this weekend to clear your cabinet out quickly.
  15. I literally don't use my 12. Had a .410 3 shot Webley for the last 15 years. Blew the chambers on it from over use and am contemplating getting it resleeved that's how much I love it (it's not financially worth doing) whacked a 9" moderator on it 10 years ago; was good addition. Just bought a second hand Parkemy .410 SxS because it took 3" cartridges over the Belgian SxS in the shop; if I hadn't got loads of 3" left I probably would have gone for the Belgian folder. Folding .410's are absolutely amazing. .410's are epic. Buy one. Forget the 12 and just get closer.
  16. Just whack her in a few simples. She should take to it! Get a second fo'sho'
  17. I have a .410 folding Parkemy side by side. The folding mechanism is operated by a push button on the receiver that is part of a crossbolt type pin. Pushing this in moves it across 'unlocking' the hinge from the lug allow the barrels to now move freely all the way back on themselves and 'fold' rather than 'break' The hinge has now worn so this lug no longer holds it in place. How would you repair this? My local gunshop suck teeth and just start quoting ££££'s for simple work as if it's too much effort on 'cheap guns' so I can't be bothered to go to them; as its not a 'stressed part
  18. I heard that too but not actually seen any evidence to prove it... Isn't the tapeworm in rabbits only for dogs/foxes?
  19. This. I make a 'nick' in the fur and get my fingers in. Then I only need a knife for removing it's head. Then same nick again; tear open belly; and gut. Simples. Practically no knife used.
  20. Tape worm cysts! Had the same thing last year.... Wash your hands and surfaces well!
