  1. Hi Team, I have 5 large punnets of blackberries from my garden amongst a host of apples (eaters and cookers) and pears, and I would like to make a hip flask worthy liquer for the winter months. If anyone has any experience of anything outside of the usual Sloe Gins , then please let me know. I am a rum man at heart (sailor and all) but starting with some sort of clear nail varnish remover will likely be the starting point and any other flavours or secret ingredients also considered along the way. Also, any blackberry and or apple dishes that are not crumble..... I bloody hate crumb
  2. I refuse to pay for electrical work any more. I spent 10 years in the Navy as an Electrical Engineer and now I am an Install and Commissioning Engineer for a large multinational so I do it all myself (I even got her indoors pulling cables recently in the loft !). Apparently without a City and Guilds Level 3 (ive got L4,L5,L6 and L7 in various related subjects but computer says no), I cant even register with the NICEIC or NAPIT if I wanted to , so I guess I'll just crack on myself Its not for hire or reward so I'll take my chances. If the customer sues me.... she can sleep in the spare room..

Im relatively local to the farm but I wouldnt wait in those queues to get a bottle or two, easier to pop to COOP up the road !
  7. Hi, I have sent a pm, I am just up the road in Harwell and very happy to help. Please feel free to give me a shout as I am very keen to get some more local permissions to me and get out a lot more. I wont be travelling with my job anymore and I can commit a lot more time to things like this
  8. Im back on here looking for permissions in the South Oxfordshire area. Moved over here a few years back (for a girl) and now i have a new job with weekends free and some fridays. Time to get the .22lr out and try to shoot some live quarry instead of just clays with the SG. Anyone from Didcot, Harwell, Newbury, Faringdon, Wantage, Blewbury, Upton or anywhere within 10miles of any of those, hit me up please !! I have .177 air rifle, .22lr and a few 12g SGC. Own Insurance and transport of course.
  9. HI guys and Gals, I am not really a new member as I have been registered and shooting with other forum members for quite some time but the rules must be followed so here goes ..... I am a 29yr old chap, now living in South Oxon, in Harwell / Didcot , and would love to get to know anyone who wants to shoot in the area. I have a few 12G Shotguns, will be treating myself to a new 20G for my 30th in June and I also have a .22LR 10/22 which has bagged me a few bunnies in the last 3yrs of ownership. I was in the Royal Navy for 10 years where the guns were a bit bigger but I am very
  10. Just a quick note to say that I have been shooting with the Bunny Boiler for coming on a year now and he is a top bloke !! Great knowledge of the outdoors and shooting and is always up for getting out whatever the weather or the quarry of choice. Rubbish at pulling real birds but he can bag the flying variety no problems ! If you fancy shooting in the west Oxfordshire area then I highly recommend him as a shooting partner ! Loads of permissions and great relationships with land owners.
  11. Hi Guys, I am new to this Forum however not to the sport and definitely not to firearms having been a weapons engineer in the Navy for the last 10Yrs. Well I am back from the war and now I am getting back in to living in the countryside so I thought I'd get my rifle and shotgun back and get back in the field. I live in Brize Norton area of West Oxfordshire and would love to find a like minded casual hunting partner to wage war on some local bunnies and maybe some fun with the clay trap too. I work 28 days on Oil Rigs rotational and would love to get out as much as I can in
