ive been using wychwood solace acs ,and cant fault them ,always used diawa/shimanos but thought id give these a go and havent been disapointed!I even bought the solace bit pit baitrunners to put on my carp rods ,and love em!

River leigh? Im just down road from st albans went school there Yes mate the Lea ,i fish the bit at marford bridge wheathampstead,into brocket park My membership run out there last year,its a good river had some good size chub and barbel . I used to fish the pegs,have you walked further up heard its bit harder up there Yes mate ,its a good club loads of waters ,i havent fished the short walk i stick to the other side as its more wild ! I think Dean Macey film did a film shoot down there ,not sure if its been aired yet? I heard the short walk got a bit naughty with blokes argueing

good pics Dc,your river seems more classic barbel river than where im fishing ,i even have silty stretchs on my river and they do feed on it ,at first i avoided and stuck to faster flowing gravel stretches ,but have recently tried the silt and it does produce !Is this normal for barbel or have they just adapted to what is available? Also what are your views on barbel in stillwaters?my boss just come back from a weekend at westwood lakes lincolnshire,and happy hed caught barbel out of the lakes ,i said far better from a river !

have to agree jok,im not a fish lover (eating) but used to work with an interesting welder fitter for RMC ,He made a cello from scratch at work ,a four year course he done it in 18 months,truly stunning when finished! had an allotment at work that our farmer used to plough ,to give an idea of size,built a broard beam boat at work from scratch,and used to dismantle concrete silos on farms for extra dosh in he's spare time ,he used to bring in double figure zander he'd caught on the Ouse and cook them at work ,absolutely gorgeous ,big chunks of flaky white meat like the best cod!

I got given one of those LED Lenser head torches ,it broke I sent it back no problems,said it was a gift ,and how impressed I am with their prouducts ,so was surprised this one had broke after hardly any use ,I got the improved model sent a few days later FOC !

the problem with that is you have to dilute it with water and load it into a super soaker for best effect, or ask the other dog and its owner to hold still and look upwards while you pour a drop into the eye, it's all about having a good reason to carry it,IE you can keep a big iron jack handle down the side of your truck seat, as long as you have the trolley jack it came from in the truck or a baseball bat as long as you have a ball and or a catchers glove, it's just common sense, if you walk into a nightclub with a knife, your a wrong un, if you go ferreting with a knife it's fine, it basica
