Ive had snipped hobs in with jills year round no problem, they only bothered them when they were in season. Does his mood not change when he's in season though? Hobs get hot under the collar and aren't as nice to work with when they're horny
-
Get the hob castrated, then he can live with the Jill's all year round and won't get horny and agressive! You'll have to pay to get the Jill's taken out of season though. Still think its worth it.

It's like saying who's better at cooking? Men or women. It's down to the individuals, personally I'd get 2 Jill's and a small hob that way you'll have the best of everything

Sounds like she'll be okay, it will most likely just be her changing her coat. What colour ferret is she? I've found that polecat coloured ferrets seem to lose more fur (and re-grow it) than albinos. Check for fleas and just keep an eye on her

Can't put a price on them being happy and healthy, no matter how much you've spent it's definitely worth it! -

Not bad for £35! Should be plenty of room for your ferrets to keep fit and active in there, nice one -
Yes but I think that will just be more wind and rain rather than the cold temperatures. Going to be harder to set the nets in the wind!
-
Yes, got up to 18 here today. In October!! Hope we get a cold spell soon

How long does everyone think it'll be before our first frost? Sick of missing holes because of nettles!

If he's been breeding her I'd have thought he would have understood how a Jill's season works surely? But yes just leave her she'll be fine
-
That's not the exact same one as mine bobcullen, just one off google images to show the locks that mine has. Mines a double box with two doors unfortunately. Will try the tape though, cheers

Thanks gents. Like the idea of hasp catches with a climbers clip on
-
Yes but one of them feels a bit loose, like a little snag on a branch would open it. Will try your hasp catch idea

Never gave a ferret milk, is it good for them? (Not being sarcastic mate, just interested)
