In my opinion a good terrier far out weighs a spaniel anyday.As a spaniel will go into any cover when instructed to even if nothing is there a good hunting terrier will only enter cover if there is something there so for that reason alone id choose a terrier.Also terriers can find there way through tight spaces and cover quicker in my opinion.
  3. hi mate i lately got offered a cockerxrussell twelve month old bitch for free she is smooth coated like the russell black and white and slightly built.I took her home showed her a few bunnies and shes turning out to be a little belter Fly through any cover very nimble and gives great tongue.Never under your feet all action all the time maybe i got lucky but on this experiance id say a good hunting russell maybe.

  5. sound man for the advice where can i get trigene or sorgene from as ive honestly never heard of it.I seen a young neighbours pup enter my side gate yesterday i told him to catch him before he got parvo out my garden.Known the young lad he wouldnt worm a dog never mind get him vaccinated he replied ah its grand i had a whole litter die last year.I asked him what did you do to get this out of your garden?Nothing he said one of those things.The same lad lives only two doors away the scruffy c**t leaves his dog shite to rot in the garden.Funny though if someone from the genral public new you hunt

Hi folks just writing an update on my dreadful time of having parvo in my yard.Anyone that read my post before about my pups getting the parvo and gave me advice thanks very much as i new very little about this as it was the first time i had ever came across it.Anyway to make the long story short out of my two new pups one survived.I had sat up for 24 hours seringe feeding them salt/sugar and water one pup looked a lot stronger than the other through the night the weaker looking pup died in the early hours of morning.I could not stay awake any longer so i put the other pup out in the shed with

  11. thank you very much for your advice which i will follow carefully as i never want to go thrugh this again its been hell.As anyone whom had this rotten disease in their yard will understand so once again thank you and everyone else who took time to help me out.Hopefully one day il return the favour.
  12. hi can anyone advise me on the best methods of getting rid of parvo from my garden?I lately bought two pups who both got parvo after getting into my next door neighbours garden after a stormy night in which the wind blew down my fence.one died the other seems to have pulled through i sat up for 26 hours seringe feeding water solution of salt sugar baking powder.Anyway how can i rid my garden of this horrible disease its the first time i have come across this in twenty years of keeping hunting dogs.

Hi all i am new to this site.I just bought two parson russelsxplummer dog pups bred from good workers.First time ill have worked this breed.If you have pictures of this breed please show.I used to use beddlington terriers but found most of them which were bred my way were to soft for ground but good at bushing hence why i bought two new pups as i have patterdalexcocker for bushing.Anyway give your opinion on which breed you think is best thanks for reading.
