Oh well Rez I seem to have made your mind up for you and I will fit a pod on it only because I have to because when you get to my age all rifles are bloody heavy.
Even if you phone in and somebody reports seeing you the Police still have to respond. This happened to a guy round here. So is there any point if they are going to respond anyway.
Permissions wasn't around in those days if the boss farmer caught you setting snares for rabbits he'd have the local plod pay you a visit or give you the sack that's why we land workers found it so upsetting. Our boss got us going round with oss n cart ( I'm from Lincolnshire and we don't call them Horses we call em Osses and they eat Gress not Grass) picking up carcasses as there was so many laying about but you wasn't supposed to.That was in the 50s..
When I was a lad and they introduced Mixy They said it would wipe out the Rabbit population.Well it didn't so I don't think we will wipe them out with air rifles. I was brought up on the land and it was a very sad sight to see the hundreds that died suffering from this awful disease. Too old to go hunting now but keep up the good work lads.
I don't think the General Licence is Law, more of a guidance IE you don't have to have one and you don't have to abide by it. I think I've read this on this site. But then again I could be wrong, I usually am.
I have some but never used them but they are in my bag in case of emergency. These forums remind me of the old CB days you couldn't get many to talk but a lot of earwiggers. When I read this post 38 views and only 1 reply and that was yours so come on lads don't just look join in.
Well Tom I took your advice and got one. 4 x 12 x 50 AO IR.. Excellent optic, i put it on my rifle last night and sighted it in this morning. It's blowing gale force here so I couldn't get absolute zero but very impressed with the Hawke. .
Not now you've joined Tom. I also have disabilities and I'm 73. I shoot nearly every day at targets in my garden and all my hunting is watching others on Youtube. Welcome to the site Tom. Regards John.
