  3. Fabulous picture - I think the snow adds to the whole shot.
  4. This practice went out with the cave man There is no excuse to do any of this now that the electronic collar is readily available Well said dymented
  5. The light has a lot to do with the quality of the pics and the bright snowy conditions helped my old Nikon D80 with 300mm lens cope,I'd love to take more pics with my new camera but won't get it dirty yet so its my old one in the bag for now lol's,its hard to hunt and control ferrets ,dogs etc whilst remembering I have a camera round my neck,I quite often forget and miss some quality shots of stuff being run, WM Know what you mean. I don't often take my camera with me as I'm too busy concentrating on where the ferrets and dogs all are. Definitely a fun way to ferret when it doesn't mat
  6. You could go the bank tommorow and pay it in over the counter. How red? I aready have the money in the bank, just don't know how to transfer it. Just to save me from keep on looking back in earlier posts what date would they arrive? PM fox digger for his bank details. Then go into your bank and tell them you want to make a transfer to his bank. Give your bank all the details that fox digger gives you and that's it, sorted. Takes all of 5 minutes.
  7. Looks like he didn't take long to make himself at home. Sure you'll have lots of fun with him...
  8. Well done fox digger - good man. Can't wait to try mine out.
  9. In that vid she went at a nice steady pace. But more often than not she goes a lot faster, and if you don't keep a very close eye on her she's in the next county. I'm hoping she'll calm down as she gets older but at the moment I have to concentrate on her the whole time.
  10. Will do mate, thats two definates so far. As soon as i have 10 definates ill collect the money and do a runner.... Sorry i ment to say send it to acebeam!!!! 11. Walks are way more fun now I've got the pup - she's really opened my eyes to how much game is under my nose. Regularly flushes woodcock and pheasant as well as rabbits, plus the odd munty and charlie.
  12. Came from skycat on here. Sire is Cricket, her border terrier x whippet, dam is Midge, her mixed ancestry terrier who's got a bit of Russell, Lakeland and Patterdale in her, and about 5 generations back there was beagle and bull I believe.
  13. Panasonic DMC-FZ200. Think there's a setting on it for cleaning out the ferrets - seems to do just about everything else
  14. If I had more time I'd be sorely tempted mate. One day...
  15. No idea about the lurcher - got him from a rescue place aged 8 months and they couldn't tell me anything about his breeding. Busher is 3/4 terrier, 1/4 whippet. She's nearly 8 months old.
  16. Sorry, not sure how to make the video show up here in the post?
  17. A bit further on in that same walk... http://youtu.be/VnjVgQfiGdI
  18. Here's why I wanted to get a busher. My lurcher marks rabbits in cover really well but won't dive into thick bramble (which there's loads of round me) for love nor money. It's easy enough to kick something out of smallish clumps but anything bigger and there's little hope. The dog marking all these rabbits but not getting that many runs was doing my head in, so I got a bushing pup in the summer. She's still a baby with lots to learn, but she's already finding and pushing out so much game that our walks are way more interesting. In this clip the dog was marking but I didn't know where the p
  19. Raw's good, but try and have a variety. I tend to ring the changes through chicken, turkey and rabbit, with green tripe approx every 10 days. Also occasional oxtail and venison, just depending on what I've got kicking about. And make sure you include some bone.
  20. I'd certainly chip in a fiver for a test like this - good idea.
  21. Thanks for the review stabba. Based on all I've now heard I'm gonna give it a go. Fox digger - at one point you were talking about possibly organising a group buy. You still prepared to go ahead with that?
  22. If it's arthritis Metacam might help. I had an old dog that started going the way you describe when he got to be about 11. Vet prescribed Metacam and it made a massive difference to his mobility. He then had about 18 months or so when he was like a spring chicken and frolicking around with the younger dogs. Then suddenly the Metacam stopped working, he went downhill very rapidly and it was obvious when the time came that the kindest thing was to have him pts.
