    Ive bought a reconditioned 5-18 x-sight from ATN. No Illuminator was to be included, which was fine by me as I would change it anyway. Cost me £275 with 12 month guarantee. Added T38 with new weaver/picatinny mount, all for under £400. I know these Units had a bit of a problem on their release, but ATN seems to have solved a lot of problems. This unit has loads of features, most of which I wont use, but the clarity of the images is spot on. So far Ive used it on various rifles and had no issues. I also use it for shooting rats on the farm with a moderated BSA R10 MK2 and its proved its worth.

    I don't think there is a right or wrong. I have shot both and both are fine. The 177 has a flatter trajectory, but I'm very much a believer that the 22 has more of a smack and energy transfer. You just have to learn to shoot 22 because of the trajectory arch. Forget all the nonsense about hollow points, pointed pellets, grooved pellets, magnum pellets etc...... just use a good medium weighted pellet that suits you and the rifle, spend some time on the range or similar, get to know your accuracy....... sorted!!!

    Fantastic and underrated eating bird. I pop them off with my R10 even coming to roost after sunset, so its worth hanging around until dark especially if you have an illuminated reticule or night vision.

    TRESPASS on its own is NOT a CRIMINAL offence, It's a CIVIL MATTER. Therefore the police cannot bring the matter to a criminal court. Trespass can be a factor in other crimes, i.e. if you were carrying a gun, (armed trespass), intending to commit an act of theft, damage, or threats to kill, (burglary) etc, etc. The landowner (not the shooters) in this case could possibly take the matter to a civil court, but this is highly unlikely due to the high costs for little gained. DO NOT worry about it.
