Cheers pal. Ive refurbished one before and had it on river trent, loved it. Had a period where it wasnt used and I sold it but always regretted it. Just been watching and waiting for the right time and project. Im guna stick to inland waterways, canals first to get my hand back in then hopefully get back onto the Trent. Was thinking a 15-20hp 4stroke. Guna spend a bit on a decent engine this time. Ive done cheap outboards before and they can be a liability, not nice in the middle of a powerful river, especially if Ive tarted this up nice.

21degrees. Just had first BBQ of the year, pot licker at side of me, new project looking at me across table. What a lovely day!!!!

@Daniel cain Told you I'd get one again some day pal.

Well, we are 3.5 years into the small holding project and getting on the top side. Few bits to do this year but pretty much broke its back, mainly now is about improving to maximise yields and how to make the most of it, succession planting, storage, pickling etc. So.....I needed a new project and here she is. Shetland Saker. Hull and top side in good condition needs full fit out as its been stripped out by previous owner. That suits me because I would have stripped it anyway. Steady away at it this year restoring her with a view to hitting the canals/rivers next spring. Looking

Thought you were taking the piss but when I checked pics thats the extension I did, only a small single storey utility and WC but oak skirting that I need to put through rest of house now, literally only bit of decent skirting in house

R old boy got me onto this and its bloody lovely. He is old school and in his words 'only black bush he would go near'. On offer on amazon 1litre bottle for 31quid last week.

Harewood house was one of original release areas. Bouncing with them round there now. I have a mate in Leeds who's neighbour feeds them, looks like that place in Wales where they do it. Literally 20-30kites swooping in taking the food off shed roof.

4 sorry. Post all over the place. Stick some of your gaff up

Yeah thats the plan, grow in it for 6m then let the pigs clear it up again. I just need to decide what veg will work in the space then move when I have the pigs to suit. I definitely want it to be productive inbetween pigs.
-
Well the 2025 pigs have gone. Took them in Monday and collected the produce yesterday. Didnt go for chops this time wanted mainly sausage and bacon. 24 joints 60lb Sausage 40lb bacon joints, currently curing These have much less fat on them than previous ones. Could be the breed (Brittish sadle back X Pietrain) or could be that we managed feed better, or a combination of both. Now I need a plan for the pig pen in-between. Going to grow veg in there, just need to decide what.
