  1. After your thoughts, going to build a couple of runs for the dogs and just wondering if anyone could advise on a minumum space to give them. only reason i ask is that its to going in my back yard and i am pushed for space. the terriers will only be left in there for a few hours each day and overnight. At the moment they have the run of the whole yard and a 8ft x 8ft shed but i need the space back, back yard measures 9ft wide by 20ft long. Not to worriedd about the bed area as will probs make this about 2ft by 3ft... got plenty ideas but just want to make sure i get it right before dig
  2. have a look at the Kumho range they do the same patterns as the bf goodrich tyers and if you aint going to hammer them then they will do just as good a job. and they are half the price. I am currently running the sahara model on my def 90. before them it had all terrains on and there is very little road noise differnece just turn the stereo up a little louder. john

  4. if you can get it up on a set of ramps and spend a good few hours cleaning it down wire brush and knocking any rust spots back etc. then best method to put it on is sprayed with a machine covering absolutly everything john
  5. here's mine bud,its a R plate 300tdi. My opinion is you cant get better for off-road work, i am still doing things to it to suit my needs. since buying it New wheels with mud terrain tyers on it the, main thing to get done, just put the tree sliders on which are fully jackable which will come in handy. also had the ifor williams canopy powder coated which has made a massive difference when out shooting etc does not stick out like a sore thumb. Next plan is to put side bars on the rear tub body work and then new winch bumper and winch. Got the back kitted out for the dogs with terr
  6. £200 notes sounds about right to me, one more thing to check is also to see if any rot has gone the chassis were the crosmember attaches to, if so you can get a new rear crossmember with extensions on which slips over the existing chassis allowing you to weld onto good metal. here a lot of people saying avoid the britpart ones as hard to marry up, go for a bearmach one or similar... ESS, if that donrt work turn all rads of from both valves that do heat up then put the heating on this will put all the pressure to that part of the system, that doesnt get any heat, may just be a bad airlock. John.

ESS. regarding your rads upstairs. tell you what to try. turn both the valves of on the radiators, now start to loosen the bleed nipple see if any water or air comes out. if not take it out all the way and with a thin nail or something push it in the hole to make sure it is clear. then put nipple back in and open valves, then bleed radiator. this is quite a commen fault with myson radiators some how they get blocked during the painting process.... Be warned you sometimes get a blast of water and air come out... John

if its a combi fill the system or any other.... when its cold. not hot as water expands and you will forever be bleeding your rads. were the boiler is situated work from the furthest rad. if you have a towl rad in the bathroom leave this until last. as usually these are the highest point in the system. balancing the system - usually rads closest to the boilers tend to get the hottest quickest. make sure all the valves on the system are open including the return side. then when the system is bled, turn the system on and keep going round all the rads to see which is getting hottest quickes
  13. dont crack the dog mate, think of it being a little child, when it does wrong use a firm voice saying NO, and when it does right praise it for doing good, that goes a long way for a pup, keep putting the pup outside and stay with it until it pee's and give it plenty praise. pups tend to need to pee at least every hour or so. So should keep you busy. It is easy to get a bit aggrivated with dogs doing wrong but thats all part off owning them. eventually they will tell you what they want and when they want it. BE PATIENT John
  14. up on the shoot on saturday one of the lads l200 (52 plate) got bogged down and it would not move conditions were very bad mind but what i found to be a problem was when trying to push it out the panels on the rear were flexing terrible, to the point were i thought they were going to crease. ended up using a jcb to pull it out, one thing i was impressedd with was the strength of the rear tubular bumber as the motor did not have a tow bar/eyes fitted we endud up putting the strops on the bumper and it never budged. the motors certainly look the bizz and the rear cab is a good size, one thin
  15. Not to sure why but noticed this year the rats seem to be staying down longer than, when using the smoker. i have found that i am having to wait a lot longer and use a lot more smoke than normal even using my standard mix of petrol and two stroke. my old uncle he keeps saying to me they wont be long now he can here them coughing hahaahaah... john

  20. Recently lost my buisness due to being robbed blind (20k) by a builder, totally understand what you folks are going through, reading this thread it seems as though the company in question was a limited company, my experience is that if liquidators/administrators go in then they make sure that the banks and tax men get there money and that they also get theres for carrying out the admin work. When i got done i was told that i would be lucky if i got a penny for every pound that i lost this was nearly 12 months ago and still not recieved or heard anything.... the wrong thing is that the MD's
