  1. Thanks for posting the vids, unfortunately when I owned my HW77 there was no internets (it was a while ago!) but I would have loved to have had a fettle with it. I did think about it but didn't want to brake it as repairs would have been a lot of pub work to pay for it. Only thing I fettled was my Gat pistol, even a basic trigger and piston polish helped a lot but you know what they say about a sow's ear...or polishing a ! I ended up fettling, tuning and in the end designing and building mountain bikes (and components) for a living. Perhaps my next rifle will get "the treatment"
  2. Thanks for the warm welcome! I am *almost* wishing xmas out the way so I can splash some cash on a rifle and kit....might be the last spending spree for a while as my first child is on its way! Finding a club that is open odd hours to match my sleep patterns might be in order It has been years since I shot or hunted but reading the great posts on the forum is slowly bringing it all back to me. Just need to put the theory into practice!
  3. Hi, I found this forum thanks to Si P and I am making a return to shooting after many years away messing about on mountain bikes and guitars. I started shooting aged 8 with an ASI Apache .177 under the close supervision of my dad, who himself was a pretty good shot in his time. I then progressed to a HW77 .22 aged 14 and started hunting on the land we had at the time, a good mix of woodland and fields. The woodies and rabbits were welcome additions to the meal table during the tough 80's. After a few years I started getting permissions from a couple of the local farmers to keep pigeons
