  1. The best stuff I found is a brick layers line,NOT the nylon one, you might have to join a few together
  2. Some thing that's thin to save battery life but not to thin or if the dog gets cought in it it will cut to the bone. The worst I've seen being used was 80lb fishing line f##king deadly..
  3. That king span is good stuff you can get it upto about 200mm. Bit pricey but I suppose cheaper than heating in the long run..
  4. That's why we must continue to work our dogs, no matter what, and try to help and encourage new comers young or old into the fold
  5. I think it depends on what part of the country you come from Ive heard 4 or 5 different names for a form ....
  6. Who will your lurcher be voting for then Lol
  7. A pure whippet will lose more body heat than most lurcher. I have one here and his like a hot water bottle.
  8. Never kept dogs in kennels but know people that do, a heat lamp or them tube heaters Might be something better on the market now.
  9. They are all the same f##king hopeless and so are most of the laws they pass, just more rules and regulations. . They have there's I have mine..
  10. As above mate and make shore there's no drafts.
  11. Totally agree tomo But I was surprised at the age of a lot of the coursing dogs When I was young and really into coursing 4 years was considered probably it's last season, these dogs back then we're mostly greyhound even 3/4 greyhound 1/4 salukis as a lot of people said any more saluki just slowed the dog down, wow how wrong was they (fast forward 25 years) and it's now 3/4 saluki 1/4 greyhound. Do you think the saluki blood has helped to prolong a coursing dogs working life
  12. Get the proper stuff (4 or 5 on the market) that way you can give the dog recommend doses, with other stuff your just guessing.......
  13. On permission single handed if your somewhere you shouldn't be probably best to be with someone. lol
  14. F##king hell sound like your been through the wars lately. Dogs are great for getting you out and about after being unwell, just be careful not to over do it. I once got stuck after slipping miles from the motor out lambing about ten weeks after a spinal operation many years ago.
  15. What I said I will say just 1 more time because I'm getting bored now. Early breeding season 9 times out of 10 times the hare that rose first than got retreaved by the dog according to my record's was a buck now I'm presuming right or wrongly that the buck thinks his fitter stronger or maybe just showing the doe what a great fit and health animal to breed with. I can only guess as none of us talk hartly
  16. Well if your dog done 7/7 in what was it just under an hour then them hares was very very shit or very very ill Use should enter him in the forley as o don't ever recall a dog doing 7/7 in an hour your be a millionaire with all those stud fees 7/7 in an hour you on LSD or Mexican mush.
  17. I'm saying most of the time when I put a hare early breading season when the dog returned with the hare 9 times out of 10 it was a buck. I really didn't won't to right this but fill I have no choice, maybe the doe is heavenly pregnant within days of giving birth and the buck is waiting for his chance to shag her the doe well you would probable have to step on her to flight in that condition and I dont mean she don't wont to damage her young she she will miscarriage if she is push to had or constantly hassled
  18. The old road runner days That man must of earnt a fortune. He bought a pub in Newmarket for cash I heard Sorry bit of subject
  19. The hare's at six mile bottom ant to shabby either pre ban
  20. If you look at my first post you will see I wrote When hare's start to pair up beginning of season the buck will stay with the doe until his shagged her and as soon as he has he will f**k off and stay with another doe until she let's him tred her as well.
  21. I've kept detailed records of every dog I've ever owned from the day that they arrive they are measured. Hight, chest, and spine from the sholders to start of tail until 2 years old and weighed every week till the day they die and every dog has all details of what they cought and we're and also the dates. So don't try and patronise me in future I will keep my thoughts to myself You WANKER.....
  22. Because most of the time when it happend the dog returned with a hare with bollocks. Almost every hare I've ever caught going back 30 years has been documented what dog cough it , and weight and time of year the hare was caught so I'm not plucking it out of the sky mate
  23. What you on about mid shag what I said was when hare's have paired up its mostly the buck that will rise FIRST taking the course away from the doe. Thats in my exspiriance not reading out of books or spending hours on here but years in the fields with dogs capable of catching there quarry. No way match dogs but I've never bin into numbers, and on more than 1 occasion I've been cheering the hare on after
