  2. I wouldn't put a deep chested dog out for a little injury like that, shave area then super glue butterfly stitches to one side, then close cut and stick other side, add some cut and heal and some wound powder jobs a gooden.

  5. It won't affect his working ability. Them skinny tails can be a nightmare, and can end up looking like an old girls arthritic finger.

  10. Practice makes perfect. For anyone bringing on a pup buy a ferret a some nets, then find the biggest field you can find, and then the pup will have ample time to practice his trade.
  11. As already been said natural I find best, if you cut them green (Hazel) you can manipulate/bend, over a few days, even making full circles and hanging from roof. But I like long perches, as long as the flight in the best sunlight, for the longest periods, but also in shaded places for when it's very hot in summer.

If you want him to perform like an athlete, feed him like an athlete, I think this is a problem with inadequate diets the dog gets the blame, 22% is not enough for a growing dog, imagine having a bowl of cereal for breakfast, and then trying to graft all day, you would also look inadequate for the task, get some beef mince with a 20% fat content brown/white rice or pasta with some greens and watch him come on in leaps and bounds....

Thats why you need a Guarding breed, an Alsation is one of the best for playing with the kids then guarding the place when needed, Alsation know the difference between a face they know and a face they don't. But a lot of the GSD of today with there sloped backs are now we're near as athletic as the old Alsation.
  17. Worked on me terriers, and a lurcher, just got to get the right ones so they stay on,but i get them spade now to avoid any trouble when there older.

Got one about 3 years ago, bloke was asking £150 and got some lucky money back as well..
