  1. Never thought of it like that! not bother about him chasing the cats as long as he doesn't kill them none of neighbours would be impressed with me
  2. That made me giggle what I meant was once he's got the taste to hunt are like my neighbours cats safe?
  3. Thats a bit much, think may have to look in to making something or get the husband to run round the field with the string and lure attached too him with the rabbiting would love to take him out but bit worried then would I have to worry about him killing cats and little furry dogs?? also do I have to finish off the rabbit? sorry complete newbie to hunting with a lurcher my dad hunted with beagles
  4. Where could I buy a cheap training lure machine? searched forums here but topics from 2009 searched internet but just keep getting American sites it's just going to be used for a bit of fun with my lurcher took him to trial at a track and he ignored the lure and round up and down the middle of the track he's only 9 months cheers
  5. Fab looking hounds can't wait to take mine to beach but it's not really near so would be full day trip out
  6. Fab pics, love looking at the old photos there is a group on facebook with old photos from the lake district packs
  7. My dad used to be a hunt master back in the day for a pack of beagles and spent most of my childhood at the kennels and loved it, specially the sound of the beagles when they were after a hare, dad died so lost interest really, but now I have a Lurcher Billy Greyhound/Collie x Whippet so joined here really for advice and just the interest in hunting
