  1. Right lads, I have a air arms s410 which I bought pre owned, it had carbon wrap all over the gun and I guess curiosity got the better of me, I decided to remove the wrap, low and behold pitting, surface rust and just general untidiness. I bought this gun to use in the damper weather and around the cold periods of the year so painting the gun seemed like a good idea. I love the look of a blued rifle, I can't find any paint that even resembles the look of it, I have also toyed with the idea of having the gun dipped in a real tree cammo effect hydro graphic as well as sanding the rust back a
  2. I went for the s410 hunter classic lads, there's just something about that stock!!
  3. Right guys I have the opportunity of buying a mk 1 wheirauch hw100 at a pretty decent price. It's in good condition and has been well looked after. I really want a s410 superlite classic there's just summit about it lol I currently own a s410 carbine and a bsa r10 john bowkett tuned. Do I put all my cash into the s410 because I want it? Do I buy the hw100 because I would probably use it then sell it in in the summer to make a bit cash Or do you have any other suggestions lol. Please help as I'm ment to be going to collect the hw100 this afternoon
  4. I won't go into it either but most air rifles are easy to tune with a bit common knowledge,
  5. Yeah you should defiantly have it checked bud
  6. Hi, I've recently stripped and re sealed my s410. Filled and put it through the chrono using the 2 types of pellet I use. Accupells at its maximum I'm reading 12.15ft/lbs Bisly magnums at max 8.76ft/lbs Q) if I was to only use the magnums would this be classed as legal? I know where I have gone wrong putting the rifle back together but do I really need to strip it again if I'm only using the heavier pellet. Any help much appreciated, all the best jln
  7. I have a pre 2006 s410 carbine, when I bought the rifle it had around 150 bar in the cylinder so set my scopes zero. Now it's fine untill it drops to 100 bar, at 100 bat the pellet will contact the target 1 mill dot low. So I decided to fill full at 190 bar, shot a few pellets and they all made contact 1 mill dot high?? This is at around 10 meters, I was going to use this gun for hunting but can't rely on it if it can't be fixed. I'm assuming that this can't be right? Is there any one that can help me out? Many Thanks Jamie
  8. why didnt he turn it down for you? was he actualy a gun smith? I guess he wasn't a gunsmith, the thing is the shop in question are very well respected in my area, also they have a few staff members, maybes it's the time of year or they just couldn't be bothered? I also have a bsa r 10 that was a little low at only 9.4 lbs with accupells and again they had to send it to bsa to have it tuned, this was under warranty. hi jin if you buy a rifle from a shop, they send it back to the manufacturer, because its still under warranty, its not there problem! it has to go back to the manufacturer.

  13. Sorry this post was for a different thread
  14. I would have been more pissed off if they had kept my gun, and with help from andy97 the gun in question is now pushing a constant 11.7 lb with accupells, very much appreciated and took me all of an hour to sort. Thanks
  15. Thanks guess I'm keeping my daystate then lol
  16. Ah right! The shop in question wanted to charge me the £, I have no idea if this is what daystate charge, so I should contact daystate directly and explain my situation. I will keep this thread posted with my progress for future reference!
  17. Thanks for the advice, I'm sure some one must have been in this situation before and I'm looking for guidance, unfortunately I'm not in a good enough financial position to loose out here.
  18. Weirauch 100 kt carbine with ambi stock unsure of age but stock is of the older less curved variety, stock is slightly worn with dents here and there, bluing of the rifle has started to fade in places has had a few touch ups and there is some rust coming through, cocking lever looks well used as does the gun, multi shot with 2 cartridges. For And excellent condition daystate harrier SE the chrome barrelled one which will soon be collectors (i hope) lol wall nut stock all in great condition. What's your thoughts
  19. That's a good point and at the time I was that annoyed I never thought of that, I obviously don't want to sell this on being over limit so is there any way some one can point me in the right direction for de tuning?
  20. Right guys I bought a pre owned daystate harrier SE roughly a year ago, today went to my local shop to part ex it and after testing they found it to be over legal limit it started from full at 11.7 then after a few shots rose to a steady 12.3!! which I am annoyed at as you would expect. What annoyed me more was I bought this gun from a relative who got the gun from the same shop I want to part ex it into, the shop in question want to return the gun to daystate at a cost of £ to have the gun brought back into limit. The shop tried a variety if different pellets and non of them brought it back
  21. Hi lads I've been on the lookout for somewhere to shoot rabbits or rats in my local area and you have to either know someone or be related it seems. I spend days and days at the range which is 30 mile away and really want to get out with someone who knows the local land owners, is there anyone in my area who would be willing to help me out here even if it's just to come out in a shoot to help so then I could earn the permission, I have tried and tried, I would be extremely great full if some one could point me in the right direction. It's that bad that I'm seriously considering walking to my l
